Excellent hotel. The service and environment are welcoming and quiet. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. There is a great ramen store close to the hotel and a big 24h Lawson store next to it. It is also next to a bus stop. I loved the breakfast presentation and the manga library.

The hotel was very nice in general with all the basic amenities a 3 star hotel has. The room was generally clean and functional, although small. There was some strands of hair in the bathtub so cleanliness can be improved. Loved the manga collection, although I can't speak Japanese and the English selection was only around 10 manga.

I had a great stay at this hotel, especially as a manga fan. The room was clean, and I received fresh towels every day. Amenities such as toiletries could be picked up from the reception area, which was very convenient. The hotel also provides complimentary drinks 24/7, including water, coffee, and tea. There is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel with buses that go straight to Kyoto Station, and the nearest subway station is about a 10-minute walk away. The famous Nishiki Market is around a 20-25 minute walk from the hotel, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. There is also a convenience store right next to the hotel and a supermarket within a short walking distance, making it very easy to grab snacks, drinks, or anything else you might need. Popular attractions such as Nijō Castle and Kyoto Imperial Palace are also within walking distance. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto.

The room was really nice and surprisingly spacious for one person. It was one of the largest rooms I’ve stayed in during my trips to Japan. Everything was clean, and the location was very convenient—close to the train station and convenience stores. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was cleaned every day. Overall, I had a very comfortable stay and would definitely recommend it.

I had booked a corner room and the view was great, contact the hotel in advance to request a great view and high floor. Overall the hotel was great, the only thing lacking was the location, typical with Kyoto the modern part of the city is quite spread out so long walks are needed. There is a subway stop 8 mins walk from the hotel as well as a bus stop near by. But in the general area there is not a lot.

The best part of this hotel was definitely the manga collection! As a manga fan, I absolutely loved having so many volumes available to read. It was such a fun and unique touch that made the stay memorable. Overall, it's a nice little hotel and a good choice for a one-night stay in Kyoto. The room was comfortable, and the atmosphere was cozy. The only downside is the location. It's a bit far from the nearest subway station and not really within easy walking distance of Kyoto's main attractions. That said, I'm a big fan of walking, so doing 25,000 steps a day around Kyoto was actually part of the fun for me. The breakfast was okay, but in hindsight, I probably would have skipped it and tried one of the many local cafés or restaurants instead. Overall, it's a cute hotel with a lot of charm. The only thing I missed was Netflix in the room, and then it would have been perfect!

Very clean small room, it has all I needed. Lobby has this Manga shop vibe, so I was vibing while eating there) Oh, and they have free coffee too

The hotel is located in a reasonably convenient area, which was one of the better parts of our stay. Check-in was smooth and the staff were polite enough, though not particularly warm or proactive. The lobby looks modern and clean at first glance, but the attention to detail drops once you head up to the rooms.
