Because our hotel is located at a traditional area surrounded by “Machiya” which is Kyoto Style historical townhouses, our building is a bit behind the main street.So it takes a little time to get to various places from the hotel, but you can enjoy a quiet stay.Thank you so much again for taking the time to offer your valuable opinion. There are many traditional houses around our hotel, and they would surely make you feel nostalgic atmosphere in Kyoto. The design of our hotel suits those houses and the town. As you mentioned, our property is beautiful and sophisticated, both outside and inside of our hotel. Our hotel is conveniently located on a small historical street called Shinmachi and is a good mixture of modernity and tradition. We are designed as a Kyo-machiya style hotel,Machiya means a traditional wooden townhouse found throughout Japan and typified in the historical capital of Kyoto.
