The Nest Boutique Resort

The one positive thing is the property is nice. The service was lacking and value was definitely not worth it. We booked the house in the trees. The rooftop balcony was private for our room but people would wander up there continuously. There was a festival at the hotel when we stayed. We thought that was neat but in the night people woke us up going to the rooftop balcony again. We were also charged different prices at the same bar when we would order the same drinks. When we checked out the reception also charged me more than what was due. When I questioned it she said she thought the taxi was $45 not $35 that we had arranged. Although, even if it was $45 there was still a $5 discrepancy. That felt sketchy to me to have the fluctuating prices. A security guard from the festival also tried to charge us « interest » for going from our room to the bar too many times. The outdoor bathroom although we thought was beautiful had monkies visit (no fault of the hotel) but left monkey poop everywhere making showering etc less than desirable. There were also kids running all over the place saying their mom was the manager and how they get everything for free. I found that tacky and distasteful when you have guests paying a lot to be there. All in all I would not recommend or return.

Slechte hygiëne de kamers waren vies en heel veel items in de kamers beschadigd, slechte service sommige staff leden proberen er nog wat van te maken maar de meeste hebben echt geen idee wat het is om iets van service te verlenen, slecht management alles is slecht geregeld, geen atmosphere, ga hier niet naartoe!!!!

Zusammengefasst: Dieses Hotel bietet nichts, was den hohen Preis rechtfertigt, außer der Lage und vielleicht ein paar netten Mitarbeitern, die wirklich die einzigen sind, die hier positiv aufgefallen sind. Für den Rest kann ich nur sagen: Nie wieder! Wer sein Geld nicht zum Fenster rauswerfen möchte, sollte dringend woanders buchen."

Wir wurden von Jacqueline bedient. Sie ist eine super nette und aufmerksame Kellnerin. Das Essen war sehr lecker, jedoch dauerte die Zubereitung etwas mehr Zeit als erwartet und unser Hauptgang kam gleichzeitig mit den Vorspeisen. Wir fanden das Ambiente sehr gemütlich und auch der DJ traf unseren Musikgeschmack.

The Nest is amazing! Jaqline, our server, is the friendliest and one of the best here! Glad I chose to stay at the Nest during my visit to Zanzibar! The beach is unbelievably beautiful and the hotel pool with swing is a must visit spot in Zanzibar!
