Backwater Ripples Kumarakom

The infinity pool here was amazing and definitely makes the resort. We experienced some issues soon after we arrived but would like to commend Piyush on reception for the professional way he resolved things for us. We enjoyed a speed boat ride as well as the complimentary boat trip on the lake. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and Alan our waiter was exceptional. We noticed how well he worked the restaurant and is a credit to your hotel. In the morning when there was an issue at breakfast Alan again sorted this with ease and without hesitation. I would easily say he is one of the best waiters that I have met at home and abroad. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

This resort and spa is a peaceful, beautiful retreat. I recently visited with a yoga tour group lead by Christine Griggs. We were greeted warmly by Sindhu, (the resort manager), and well cared for by her spa team. I visited the Ayurveda massage spa three days for a massage experience like I have never had before. The first day was a powder rub, the second an oil rub, and the third was a pounding with a sack of herbs designed to bring about relaxation. After this much pampering, I felt renewed and relaxed. The resort also offers tea every evening and sunset boat tours on the large Backwater Lake. I recommend this resort for peace and relaxation.

My family and I had a wonderful experience staying in Backwater Ripples. Right from the welcome drink to checkout, the hotel staff was cordial and helpful. The facility beautiful with a lot of flora and fauna. Our room was very well stoked, overlooking the backwater and a plush garden. Taking a stroll in and around the property was relaxing. We spotted lovely flowers in the intricately maintained gardens. The backwater view is breathtaking. We witnessed Sunset which was breathtaking. We had two trips in speedboat, one in the backwater villages and the other to Alleppy. Pravin and Jayesh, who were the boat captains did a masterful job by ensuring we had the thrill and scenery that was expected. The hotel provides free snacks in the evening when you relax on the backwater banks while enjoying blissful live music. Talking of food, they have two restaurants serving delicious cuisine. The breakfast was sumptuous with north Indian delicacies in addition to Keralite dishes. My wife, my son and I had a great time in this Kumarakom gem hotel. I would like to specifically mention Sindhu, the hotel's guest relationship manager, who ensured that we get the best service. She provides personal attention for a seamless guest experience. We truly cherished our stay in the Backwater Ripples hotel. Worth visiting during a trip to Kerala.

I fell in love with this magical place the first time I came 6 years ago. I came back the following year after touring North India. And this is now my 4th time here, and not the last one. I now bring groups here to share this peaceful haven. The setting on lake Vembadam is perfect: beautiful and peaceful. The staff is exquisitively attentive, accommodations are superb, everything is pristinely clean and maintained. So many activities are offered: free tea-time by the lake and sunset cruises, as well as musical events. The Ayurveda treatments at the spa are top-notch, they even have an Ayurveda doctor. I have special praises for amazing Sindhu who makes you feel so welcome. She is phenomenal. I call her “the Angel in a sari”. I will be back next year. Every time, it feels like coming home. My favorite place!

Backwater Ripples in Kumarakom is a gem by the Vembanad Lake that instantly makes you feel at home. The resort is beautiful, with well-maintained gardens and a serene lakefront view that’s perfect for unwinding. The rooms are spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. Waking up to the sound of birds and the gentle view of the backwaters was one of the highlights of my stay. The food was equally impressive too, Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. The staff were incredible—so warm and attentive. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, and it felt like they genuinely cared about making our stay special. The property also offers activities like boat rides and lakeside lounging, which made our time there even more enjoyable. Whether it’s for a family trip or a quiet getaway, Backwater Ripples is one of those places that leaves you feeling refreshed and happy.

Most of us goes by review while Booking any hotel or resort. While booking this resort I also did the same and I found  some negative reviews, so I was confused to choose it or not. Then I thought that there are some negative people on this earth every where and we should ignore these people. I was right my decision to choose this resort was good. Resort is very beautiful . Each and every corner is clean and very well maintained.It's on the backwater lake shore so u can sit and relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery . Resort have greenery everywhere. Having tea, coffee or ur choice of drinks at sitting area on backwater shore is very relaxing and enjoyable. Resort have good food . We tried both Buffet and Ala karte. Staff is very supportive . Service is good. At this price I feel this resort is worth to stay
