Abad Whispering Palms

Location of the property is excellent. We liked the food. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. But the turn downs were there was huge delay in serving food. Toilet seat was not neat with few black marks giving a feel that it is dirty.

We booked a pool villa which was spacious and allowed for an extra bed and selerate room for our teenage son. The villa was clean with good amenities, the pool was nice for cooling off when the main pool was busier but was a little small. The main pool area was lovely and warm with view of the lake and much needed lake breeze. There isn't much in walking distance but the main attraction is the lake and views. We were able to hop into a rickshaw for shops, ATM and bird sanctuary. There is table tennis and other games. Nice food and attentive staff, sometimes a lottle too attentive when you wanted to eat a meal in peace. Room service was excellent

Stay and the swimming pool was excellent. Regarding food, it was kind of okay. The tea that we got was terrible. The fridge was not there in the room. The replaced fridge was not working

Good hotel but restaurant needs to have some mistakes fans or some ACs as lot of humidity and hot weather even in end of March. The buffet breakfast is just ok and nothing great! Room internet fluctuates and is definitely not hi-speed. Our room door got jammed and on escalation they moved us to a suite room. Bathrooms can be done better and didn't have any glass to keep toothbrush etc near wash basin. Staff are courteous but they surprisingly do not accept Amex cards!

It's a decent and spacious property with nice view. However, the service was very laid back and lethargic. There was a pipe leak in the washroom and noone even bothered to get back to us even after complaining about it. We had to call them multiple times, and even if u ask for a laundry bag, they would give it to you after 20-25 mins.

It is a small and cute resort. The working level staff are very helpful. But the property and food are not up to the mark. We stayed in room 117. The room is infested with ants. The walls have marks of seepage. The kettle is in a sorry state. The bath tub is unusable- the longer than needed curtain is so dirty in the lower part that taking shower is repulsive. The tub itself is flaking and there is no bath mat. We tried the buffet dinner on 16th March. It was sorry experience. You get excellent 'APPAMS' all over Kerala, except in this place. They specialize in inedible appams and curd-rice ***** with unappetizing fare. The desserts were just terrible. The fruit custard was bitter. The fruit was inedible. I am surprised that they could find such low-grade pineapple in Kerala. Another pudding was just sugar and corn flour. Binu, the catering manager was rude. We went out for dinner on 17th, paying Rs 2000 for teh taxi, just to escape the inedible buffet. There is no walking path where you could saunter even. It is not a 4-star resort. I wonder how it is rated so. Perhaps because of eth swimming pool that we didn't use. Trying to forget teh experience.
