Zostel Homes Laida (Jibhi)

First time at Zostel Homes Laida, and it honestly blew me away. The place has this calm, village charm and the homestay was super clean and comfy. Big shoutout to Nomit—the kind of host who makes you feel at home the moment you arrive. He didn’t just host us, he made Laida come alive. Can’t recommend this experience enough!

My wife and I stayed at the property from 08th to 11th March and our experience was truly amazing!! If you’re someone who wants to experience staying in a proper Himachali village, this is the place for you! We stayed at both their houses, a farmhouse, which is the main home where the family stays and hosts people and a mud house which is apprx 15 -20 mins away from the main home, and the rooms at both the properties were beautiful and super clean. Special shout-out to the amazing food that the family cooks for you, we had saag, pancakes, chicken curry, uncle Ji’s gajar ka halwa, and the satisfaction that we felt after each meal is just rare( for someone who stays in the city) We enjoyed taking a stroll around the village on all the 3 days that we were there and the people of the village were very warm and welcoming. All in all, I highly recommend this property, and can’t wait to go back.

We stayed at Zostel Homes Laida for the last four days of our trip to Tirthan Valley and it turned out to be an amazing experience. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants an authentic taste of the local life in Tirthan Valley. The best part about the stay at Zostel Homes Laida is the love and warmth extended by Joginder ji, Chanda ji and Nomit towards their guests. They welcome all their guests into their home and make them feel like family rather than tourists. As the motorable road ends just outside Laida village, one can experience the serenity and peace of the mountains here without the crowds and traffic of more popular destinations like Jibhi. There are several hikes, short and long, which can be done from the property itself under the guidance of Nomit to explore the natural beauty of the area. Laida is also a bird watcher's paradise for those interested. Added to this idyllic set-up around Zostel Homes Laida are the clean and spacious rooms at the property with all the necessary amenities. The cafe and the common room offer a cozy ambience to spend time during your stay. The food at the property, made by the hosts themselves, is a particular highlight. Do try getting some cooking tips from Joginder ji during your stay, like we did. We had a great time during our stay at Zostel Homes Laida and look forward to returning some day.

I'm in awe of this place. It's a kind of place where you surely want to come back over and over again. Nomit and Joginder ji are the best example of modesty and warm hospitality. The food is like cherry on top. The place calms you in so many ways. ❣️

Laida a small hamlet at the foothill of Himalayas. it looked serene, beautiful, mesmerizing during rains. We had one of the most amazing experiences....great hospitality offered by the entire family and staff. The rooms are spacious, neat and made in style. It also had a common room to play, unwind, sketch or just sit in the tranquil.. it drew me towards my passion for art too. We were welcomed by Mrs. Thakur, Mr. Thakur's home made local delicacies & we truly enjoyed listening to a rendition by Nomit Thakur - Khamosh! "The mountains are calling, and I must go." – John Muir....so we shall definitely love to be there soon!

If you are looking to spend time away from the crowds, be one with nature and the mountains, and receive impeccable service, including home cooked delicious food, Zostel Homes Laida is the place for you! Nestled in the forested hilltop, Laida is a small, pristine village in the Kullu district, and Zostel offers a perfect way to experience the place. You can go on a few small treks around, or just walk up and down the hills. Overall great experience! Highly recommended! PS: You can't drive directly to the Zostel. It's a short 5 minutes trek from the parking.
