Kruja Albergo Diffuso , Inside Kruja Castle

What a beautiful place. Set within the castle grounds of Kruja castle. Only accessible by traditional cobbled streets. The views are incredible. Rooms are finished to a high spec and comfortable. Host was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good with omelette, bread, cheese and pastry plus tea and coffee. Beer available in the hotel to sit and eat on the balcony. Wonderful place to stay.

Fabulous location within the castle grounds, the finish and decor within the hotel is top quality. Slightly odd, though, to have a TV in the room that has no channels... Only Netflix and other subscription channels. Good breakfast served in a small restaurant, also within the castle grounds. Obviously, there is no parking within the castle grounds, but please avoid the free car park (near the football pitch, several minutes walk away, that the management suggest as an option) as our car was vandalised overnight.

The Albergo Diffusio is located within the castle grounds which allows one beautiful views of the castle and the surrounding mountains. The hotel has recently been beautifully and tastefully renovated. There are a few excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. The drive up the mountain is quite steep and parking is an issue although the hotel owner/ manager was very helpful in meeting us and directing us to where we could park overnight. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay there.

Style. Extraordinary Albergo Diffuso (scattered hotel). The first in Albania Setting. Time travel within confines of Kruja Castle Explore. Mountain town Kruje. Hiking in the area. Museum on site to learn all about Albania’s legends Rooms. Was in a upstairs room, lovely balcony with views of the gorgeous castle. Room had a mini fridge so you can store cold drinks. @ the hotel. Parking is near bazaar outside castle. I had no idea where to park and had luggage with me but called and the owner Olsi Pengili came out to help me. Skipping checkin formalities was a relief after the long trip from Hong Kong to Albania. Sunset right in front of the hotel was magical and the whole Albergo Diffuso project Olsi is going through to restore and preserve this area is exceptional. The day I left, I had a punctured tire and the Hertz car did not have a spare, Olsi saved the day, a car mechanic showed up and fixed my tire on the spot! Food & drinks. No restaurant yet but plenty nearby. Originally wanted to go to Restorant Bardhi but ended up at Kroi, where they have fantastic staff, including the one that alerted me to my tire. Prices. L'Albergo Diffuso Kruja è situato esattamente dentro la vecchia cittadella. La struttura è nuovissima ma lo stile rispetta completamente l'identità del luogo, utilizzando legno e pietra. Il letto e i cuscini sono comodissimi. L'ambiente è davvero suggestivo. Il centro e il bazar sono raggiungibili a piedi in pochissimo tempo.
