Oasis Guesthouse, Boutique Style Hotel

Dit is een super schone en gezellige guesthouse met ontzettend vriendelijke, gastvrije en vrijgevige eigenaren. Altijd in voor een leuk praatje en ze geven veel goede tips over leuke spots op Bonaire. Ze hebben ook een duikschool waar we een proefduik hebben gedaan met hele relaxte begeleiding. Oasis guesthouse heeft een goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding! Als we nogmaals naar Bonaire komen zullen we weer hier zeker terugkomen!

Wij zijn in september ‘24 te gast geweest bij Kim & John. Wat een onwijs hartelijke, fijne, geestige en lieve mensen. Het guesthouse was schoon en heeft een perfecte ligging ten opzichte van het hele eiland. De gedeelde keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien en door iedereen te gebruiken. Eigen plekje in de koelkasten, ruime opzet, vaatwasser en vers bubbelwater uit de tap. Op mijn verjaardag hebben we samen met andere gasten een BBQ gehad. Het zwembad en de tuin zijn gezellig ingericht en schoon. Niets is teveel gevraagd voor John & Kim. (Bijzaak: wij zaten op het eiland ten tijde van de stroomstoringen gedurende een aantal dagen. Alles werd in het werk gesteld om ons zo min mogelijk hinder te laten ondervinden hiervan). De wijze waarop ze het guesthouse runnen is enorm prettig. John en Kim weten beiden ook heel veel van de flora en fauna op het eiland. De combinatie van duiken (Kim is ook instructor, duikspullen kun je huren via het guesthouse) en deze kennis van onder andere de onderwaterwereld is zo leerzaam gebleken voor ons dat we balen dat het al voorbij is. Beiden zijn we relatief beginnende duikers maar door ons mee te nemen naar verschillende plekken hebben we zoveel gezien en geleerd. Werkelijk onbetaalbaar! Het guesthouse is ook ideaal gebleken om kennis te maken met andere gasten. Wij hebben bijvoorbeeld met onze Amerikaanse vrienden Josh en Larisa (en John & Kim) vaak aan de tafel gezeten in de tuin en gesproken over onze ervaringen. We hebben ook samen met ze gedoken, ook een dikke dank aan hen voor het onvergetelijk maken van onze vakantie. Dit is een absolute meerwaarde ten opzichte van een hotel waar je toch vaak opgaat in de massa. Ons oordeel is dus ook louter positief. Er is werkelijk geen minpunt te bedenken. Ben je op zoek naar een zorgeloos en relaxt verblijf in combinatie met duiken of alleen maar genieten met een persoonlijke touch, zoek niet verder en neem contact met John & Kim op! Wij komen hier zeker weer terug, is het niet volgend jaar, dan het jaar erna.

Just a few days into our trip and Kim&John have gone all out as super hosts that really care about their guests and the island. First impressions are hard and Oasis Guesthouse have exceeded our expectations thus far. Some helpful tips… the kitchen is fully stocked and functional for all types of meal prep. Ample space in fridges and freezer for fresh produce. During our stay we were privileged to have first use of the still and carbonated chilled water tap… this was a great addition. The patio and pool area is a true oasis, where there are numerous nooks and lounge areas for great group chats or peaceful solitude with a good book. Rooms are well appointed, clean and spacious. notable is how sound proof they are. Air conditioning is very good and quick to cool the rooms down when it gets hot. Be sure to chat with John on the local flamingo population… incredible what he has and continues to do

Wat een heerlijk huis van alle gemakken voorzien! John en Kim waren super vriendelijk en we hebben ons zeer vermaakt! Kamer waar wij verbleven was schoon en was voorzien van een heerlijk bed en ruime badkamer! BBQ die door Kim en John was gefaciliteerd was in één woord fantastisch! Goede Centrale locatie! Kortom en heerlijke vakantie gehad

Een geweldig guesthouse met een prachtige romantische tuin met een mooi zwembad . Kamers zijn ruim en mooi ingericht en gezamenlijke keuken van alle gemakken voorzien . Kim en John zijn de meest vriendelijke en gastvrije hosts die je maar kunt bedenken. Zelfs met de drukke bezigheden op het eiland hebben ze alle tijd om hun gasten het naar de zin te maken . John and Kim are a wonderful couple that care greatly about Bonaire and the wildlife that inhabits the island. They have a vast array of knowledge of wildlife, diving, dining, island history, island culture and more. Which they share with their guests, an added bonus. They are frequently milling about making sure everyone's stay is the best it can be by cleaning the pool, taking the trash out, keeping the kitchen running smoothly, and best of all keeping us all hydrated! The atmosphere is relaxed, and we really feel at home there. Staying at a Guesthouse allows us to meet people from the other side of the world and to share our stories and lives with each other. Often feeling like we have made new friends with our goodbyes often ending in hugs.

Perfekter Urlaub im Oasis Guesthouse. Saubere , gemütliche , liebevoll eingerichtete Zimmer, tolle Gemeinschaftsküche. Liebenswerte Gastgeber, einfach nur zum Wohlfühlen. Kurzer Weg mit dem Auto zum Surfstrand Lac Bay . Vielen Dank John und Kim. Ich komme wieder.‍♀️

My stay at Guesthouse Oasis in Bonaire was absolutely fantastic! I cannot recommend it highly enough. John and Kim, the owners, are not just hosts; they are beautiful souls, always ready to assist with anything you might need. Their warm hospitality made my holiday truly special. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable, equipped with air conditioning for a refreshing retreat after a day of windsurfing and scuba diving. Being next to the pool added an extra layer of relaxation to the experience. The ambiance at Guesthouse Oasis is like a big family, and I quickly made friends with other lovely and friendly guests. One of the highlights is the proximity to diving spots, and John even rents gear, making the whole diving experience seamless. Solo travelers, take note – you'll make friends quickly here, whether you're looking for companions to explore the island or join you in underwater adventures. The guesthouse provides a well-equipped kitchen with all the tools you might need, along with a spacious fridge. It's only a 10-minute drive from both the town center and the windsurfing spots, making it incredibly convenient. Speaking of windsurfing, Bonaire is a paradise for enthusiasts, with its shallow lagoon and constant winds. It caters perfectly to beginners, freeriders, and freestylers alike. The overall package at Guesthouse Oasis is nothing short of a dream – I liked it so much that I extended my stay for an additional week, and I would gladly repeat this experience a hundred times over. My second stay with Kim & Jon at the Oasis & these guys have got it all. High quality accommodations at very reasonable prices, fantastically equipped large communal kitchen (the upstairs apartment has its own), lovely pool garden frequented by mesmerising hummingbirds, rinse tanks & secure storage for your gear, provision of dive gear (if Delta have sent yours to the wrong location & you need to rent some as happened to some other guests) & pretty much anything else you need. Conveniently located in a peaceful part of the island & run by 2 just great people, love you guys & will DEFINITELY be staying with you AGAIN (……and AGAIN, and AGAIN until I can actually live on Bonaire !!!)
