The two rooms we were assigned, one had sewage smell and another crawling with ants. They agreed to “upgrade” the room with sewage smell for one night and then change the room back to the room we’d booked and the room crawling with ants, they’ll change the sheets and then they’ll like us to see if the ants are coming back. We don’t want to take our chances of wait and see with the ants or face the hassle of moving rooms. We requested for a cancellation and refund. The hotel, though is in a good part of town, but it’s old. The sea view that you’re paying for is not worth the “hype” as it is in front of the street and pool, where you’ll hear all the traffics (loud motorcycles speeding after midnight) and screaming children in the pool at 7am, E.V.E.R.Y.D.A.Y. You’ll be much better off with the garden view which is quieter, I think. Or a newer hotel at the same price, 10 minutes drive away. We were trying to cancel our trip through Trip.com, which unfortunately had a third party to book with the hotel and we had to wait 2 hours for a resolution. Finally the hotel agreed to accommodate us into, I believe, their biggest room throughout the entire 4 nights of our stay (the one with Jacuzzi and sea view). We were more than happy if they could either just give us the same size room without the smell or ants or without the sea view but they were fully booked that weekend and were reluctant to “upgrade” us for our entire stay. We just don’t need the hassle of moving rooms. I have more videos instead of photo for the ants infestations.

Wir hatten große Erwartungen an dieses Hotel und haben uns sehr auf unseren Aufenthalt gefreut – umso enttäuschender war die tatsächliche Erfahrung. Wir hatten ein Deluxe-Zimmer gebucht, das während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts nicht einmal richtig gereinigt wurde. Der Duschabfluss war verstopft und auch nachdem wir dies gemeldet hatten, wurde das Problem nicht behoben. Die Dusche war zudem durchgehend schmutzig und wurde offensichtlich nicht gereinigt. Die Betten wurden nicht gewechselt, lediglich einmal etwas untergestopft. Auch sonst ließ die Sauberkeit im gesamten Zimmer zu wünschen übrig – überall Staub und Schmutz. Für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie absolut unakzeptabel. Auch der Service war leider enttäuschend. Wir wurden weder freundlich empfangen noch verabschiedet – beim Checkout hat man sich nicht einmal die Mühe gemacht, auf unser „Tschüss“ zu reagieren. Insgesamt haben wir uns leider nicht willkommen oder wohlgefühlt. Wir hatten uns sehr viel von diesem Hotel versprochen, wurden aber in vielerlei Hinsicht enttäuscht. Die mangelnde Sauberkeit und der unpersönliche Service haben unseren Aufenthalt leider sehr negativ geprägt. Schade!
