Good Property Located within the City and proximate to Beach and Eateries. Overall Experience was Very Good. More like a Holiday Property.

Location ok,welcome ok,reception good room nicely kept and clean,service side in restaurant need some improvements,logan closed.;local malabar snacks are missed in the restaurant.

Good Location and Comfortable Stay, But Needs Some Improvements We stayed at The Gateway Hotel Beach Road, Kozhikode, and found the overall experience pleasant. The location is excellent — close to the beach and local markets, making it convenient for evening strolls and exploring the city. The rooms are cozy and well laid out, but some maintenance is needed. In our case, the shower knob was broken, which was a minor inconvenience. As a coastal destination, the hotel understandably focuses on seafood, but vegetarian options were quite limited. A few more choices for vegetarian guests would definitely enhance the dining experience. The staff was polite and helpful, though many appeared to be trainees. While they were eager to assist, a bit more experience and coordination would help improve service consistency. Overall, it’s a decent choice for a short stay in Kozhikode, especially for those looking to stay near the beach. With a few improvements in upkeep and service, it could offer a truly great experience.

Our stay at The Gateway Hotel on Beach Road, Kozhikode was truly memorable, thanks to the outstanding service and attention to detail from the hotel staff. From check-in to departure, everything was handled with warmth and professionalism. The à la carte dining experience was excellent, with a wide selection of well-prepared dishes that reflected both local Kerala flavors and classic favorites. Every meal we had was satisfying, and the staff were more than happy to accommodate special requests. What stood out the most was the thoughtful gesture of providing us with a makeshift breakfast when we had to leave early for a morning flight. Despite it being before regular breakfast hours, the team ensured we had something fresh and filling to take ***** — a small act that speaks volumes about their commitment to guest comfort. Overall, The Gateway Hotel combines great food, genuine service, and thoughtful hospitality, making it an ideal choice for anyone visiting Kozhikode. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Nice hotel , member of the Taj group. The hotel is a bit older, but in a good shape. Very attentive staff, especially in the restaurant. Clean well equipped rooms, external pool, restaurant with a broad selection of meals. All in all a good place to stay.

The hotel is a great value for the amenities and services provided. The breakfast spread is a great mix of local cuisine and the regular Indian / International fare. The staff is ever so friendly and willing to go out to make your stay pleasant. The room is well appointed but could have included some snacks / cookies to go ***** with tea and coffee selection in the room. The air-conditioning works and beds are firm and assures a good nights sleep. The wooden flooring shows its age. A quick upgrade on this as well as the bathroom wash counter top would have helped this nice Taj property live upto its name. Of course, the service is outstanding and this helps Overall, a satisfying experience. Recommended... 👍
