After an incredible journey through Kerala, Taj Green Cove was the perfect sanctuary for the next phase of our travels. Nestled within the jungle, with birdsong filling the air and the Arabian Sea stretching beyond the horizon, this resort is a hidden paradise. Arriving after a long journey from Alleppey, we were warmly welcomed with refreshing drinks, a tour of the lush tropical grounds, and then guided to our cool, well-appointed chalet, which offered privacy and tranquility, with a balcony overlooking the jungle and the distant sea. A Haven of Hospitality From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The team at Taj Green Cove operates with a rare combination of attentiveness and warmth, ensuring every guest feels personally looked after. A special mention to Noyal, the manager, whose leadership and dedication to guest satisfaction were evident throughout our stay. He ensured that every detail of our experience was flawless, offering personalised attention and making sure we had everything we needed. Similarly, Aane, a wonderful member of the restaurant staff, provided consistently attentive and reassuring service, always ensuring that our dining experiences were smooth, enjoyable, and filled with thoughtful touches. A Culinary Journey Through India The food at Taj Green Cove was outstanding, offering a diverse selection of flavours from across India and beyond. Every meal was a celebration of taste, with dishes ranging from authentic South Indian specialties to rich North Indian curries, freshly baked breads, and perfectly cooked seafood. Some of our favourites included fresh okra, egg, potato, chickpea dal, Kerala-style kingfish curry, fish wrapped in banana leaves, chicken saag (specially prepared on request), and fragrant rice dishes. The variety was incredible, and each meal was an opportunity to explore a different part of India’s rich culinary heritage. A Special Anniversary Celebration One of the highlights of our stay was the anniversary meal thoughtfully arranged by Abhishek, the restaurant manager. He went above and beyond to personalise our dining experiences, surprising us with a candlelit dinner on a private balcony, overlooking the serene resort grounds. He curated a special menu just for us, filled with fresh, authentic, and beautifully prepared Indian dishes, making our 25th wedding anniversary celebration truly unforgettable. Every morning, Abhishek also ensured we had a unique breakfast experience, introducing us to regional specialties from across India, each dish reflecting the rich diversity of the country’s cuisine. His passion for hospitality and personal attention made a lasting impression.
