We arrived in the evening, we wanted to eat dinner around 8pm, the staff took our order and then told us that they didn't have any food they could serve us. Some employees had gotten in a physical altercations, they was injuries and the police was called. Due to the unsafe nature of the staffs actions and the lack of food on the property. We packed our bags just a couple hours into our 2 night stay and went to the Sheraton down the road. The staff told us when we left the nights would be refunded due to the issues, however they still have not.

We had the most amazing stay at The Habitat, Kosgoda, and we cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and care that made us feel right at home. The entire staff went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was nothing short of perfect. A special mention to Mr. Sunil Herath, the Estate Manager, whose dedication and hospitality truly stood out. He took personal care of us, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. His ability to speak multiple languages, including Hindi, made communication seamless, and he was instrumental in helping us plan our days in Sri Lanka. Beyond that, he went out of his way to assist us with some unexpected travel issues, investing his valuable time and energy to ensure our safety and peace of mind. His genuine concern and commitment to our well-being made all the difference, and we are incredibly grateful for his kindness. The hotel itself is a hidden gem, nestled in a serene and picturesque location. The beautifully maintained property, lush greenery, and the stunning beachfront created a perfect atmosphere for relaxation. The pool area, the trees by the poolside, and the mesmerizing sound of the waves added to the charm, making our stay even more special. As Indian vegetarians, we were touched by the extra effort the chef and team put in to cater to our dietary preferences. The chef personally ensured that we were well taken care of, preparing delicious meals that exceeded our expectations. Overall, The Habitat is a place that truly values its guests, offering not just luxury but also a deeply personalized and caring experience. We left with wonderful memories and a strong desire to return. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with top-notch hospitality and an estate manager who genuinely cares, this is the place to be. The stay was horrible. We had booked dinner & breakfast for our stay. At the time of checkin, we were told that dinner will be only a set menu with only 1 veg option, and the hotel did not have occupancy to give a buffet. My father has a fast that day, and we had to literally fight and please hotel to give some food option. After 30 minutes, hotel agreed to give us a few food options, and then took another 50 minutes to serve us food. I even spoke to their GM, who had a different attitude and was least bothered about our stay and bookings. He only had to give an excuse of low occupancy, and did not even bother to apologise. Our room's AC was leaking and had water on the floor. On requesting for changing the room, we got a new room whose bathroom door was jammed. On showing the staff, they could only laugh at it and asked us to adjust for a night. The hotel people came back at night to check what we would want to have for breakfast, as there will be no buffet, which got me extremely angry. On informing them that either I will have buffet breakfast or nothing, they finally decided to get the buffet arranged for all in the morning. Overall, a 0 star, and an avoid for the hotel

Erg leuk hotel gelegen aan een heerlijk stuk strand met mooi uitzicht. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en altijd bereid om te helpen. Het eten was heerlijk en de cocktails van barman Pulasthi waren de lekkere welke ik ooit op had. Ik zou er zo nog een keer naar toe gaan!

The staff broke out into a fight that got physical. Cops came and a worker was injured. There was no dinner available to the guests as the cook was involved with the commotion
