This place has gone down hill over the years, its a complete doss hole. They have also got greedier as time as gone by too! Gone are the days where the air conditioning in your room was free, which it should be as it is in most hotels - this place charges you for it. They also want to charge you for use of a tiny safe that is in your room too. They have become lazier and greedier it seems. Upon check in you would normally get a voucher offering a free bottle of wine which you get if you had dinner in their make shift set up of a restaurant downstairs at the hotel - they no longer do it now apparently, when i asked about it all i was told was 'not now, maybe later', whatever that meant. Something else in which this hotel used to do but no longer does, before they did a laminated dinner 'specials' of 3/4 meals of that day, an this would be on one of the lift walls so you would see it when either entering or leaving the lift, they no longer do that, now if you want to know what the specials are you 'have to ask' Talking of laziness, they have now installed screens at reception, so that you can check yourself in - i mean, its not like the chap behind the reception is so busy that he cannot check you in like he used to - in fact these screens mean that he does even less now than he did before, an he hardly did anything before. All he does is take a copy of your credit card and takes your hotel tax money from you and whatever else he can entice you into purchasing! Talking of such, the Greek government have some years ago, imposed this hotel tax which anyone and everyone has to pay when staying at any hotel regardless of its star rating, in Greece. Depending on what you pay depends on what star rating the hotel is. So the higher the star rating, the more you pay - this is payable when you check in. It also rises everytime i go - In October 2023 it was 1.5 Euro per night, when i went in October 2024 it went up to 3 Euro per night, then when i went only 7 months later in May 2025 it had gone up again to 5 Euro per night - so i spent 50 Euro before i had even got to my room. I had an issue with this because the paperwork i had printed off from the holiday company stated that it was 3 Euro per night, yet the hotel were demanding that it was 5 Euro per night. I asked to see the manager, to which i was conveniently was not able to do so. Two days went by before i managed to see someone about it, hoping to see the manager i saw the assistant manager, i tried speaking to her about it, but got no where, in fact i found her quite rude, impolite and very unprofessional to say the least. At no point did it feel like she was listening, it felt like she could not handle what i was saying an that she just wanted to cut short the conversation and go - so rude. So i thanked her for nothing and left it as i was getting no where whatsoever, she was no help. Regardless to say, that she never once apologised nor spoke to me after that, in fact she just totally ignored me
