Hotel Tigaki's Star

Got back two weeks ago. What a gem of a hotel. Perfect location. Just ten minutes from the beach & the restaurants. Lovely & quiet at night, overlooking the salt lake. The gardens are pool area are immaculate. Plenty of sunbeds with a lovely pool bar that does lovely snacks. This is a family run hotel and staff are amazing, with a special thanks to Gabriela on reception and Pantelis at the pool bar, who gave amazing service. The apartments are spotlessly clean with clean sheets and towels changed regularly. The beds are comfy. The buffy breakfast is really good, either continental or English and you can eat outside on the sunny terrace, or eat inside. Overall a fantastic holiday and will definitely be coming back.

A one week stay in late September. The courtesy and friendliness of the staff could not be faulted, perhaps the best feature of our stay. The rooms are a bit basic, but with everything you need, plenty of storage space, comfortable bed, adequate bathroom except for the nylon shower curtain which did cling a bit when you were taking a shower. The hotel site is excellent, a short walk to the town, on site a very decent size pool with plenty of sun loungers, shady areas perhaps a bit lacking. The gardens are lovely with the 4 or 5 bedroom blocks dotted around and definitely not crowded in on each other. Breakfast was definitely not a high point, a very basic buffet, mini frankfurter sausages swimming in water were not a good look. Most disappointing was the complete lack of fresh fruit, apart from a few slices of water melon, otherwise it was slices of tinned pineapple or peach. Seems like not a lot of imagination or thought went into the breakfast catering. The hotel does not have a restaurant, it has a snack bar which is ideal for a poolside lunch or drink, but does not cater even for a decent evening meal. However, there are several very good restaurants within a short walk. It is what it says it is, a good basic three star hotel.

We've just returned from a week at this lovely hotel. We had a standard room, which was basic but had everything needed, comfy beds, TV, shower and bath, air con, fridge, safe and even toiletries. Towels were changed daily upon request. Breakfast was 'fine' . Basic continental plus sausages, bacon and eggs. The pool area, like the rest of the hotel, was spotless. There were plenty of comfy beds available. Remember to bring your beach towel! Service at the pool side bar was 5 star! Thank you! Drinks and food were delicious! I recommend the Greek pizza! The hotel is a 5 min walk away from the centre, where there are plenty of bars and restaurants, but none too rowdy. We particularly enjoyed our time at Memories bar and the King Size beach. I throughly recommend this little gem hotel .

Absolutely wonderful place to stay . Immaculate in every area , rooms are dated but cleaned and fresh towels provided every day of your stay , the pool area is beautiful with ample comfortable sun beds , never over busy . Breakfast is adequate , although the addition of a toaster machine would be beneficial .The staff are all extremely friendly , and the location is perfect just quietly out the way , but only a short stroll to everything . We shall definitely return to this lovely place .

Wir beide kommen immer wieder!!!!! Ins Tigaki Star... Fühlen uns wie zu Hause hier.. Das ganze Team ist spitze!!! Alle sind gleich viel wert - wichtig - für uns ist es immer wie Heimkommen... Das Hotel Tigaki's Star liegt in einer großen, bestens gepflegten Gartenanlage. Neben dem Haupthaus liegen verstreut Bungalows mit Appartements. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und unaufdringlich, die Zimmer bitzsauber und mit Kühlschrank, Klimaanlage und Wasserkocher ausgestattet. Unser Balkon war sehr groß, die Balkontür hatte ein Fliegengitter. Es gibt einen sehr großen Pool mit ausreichend Liegen und Sonnenschirmen und einer guten Bar mit freundlichem Service. Das Frühstück entspricht dem griechischen Hotelstandard. Man isst auf einer schattigen Terrasse. Zum Salzsee und zum Alikies-Strand geht man 10 bis 15 Minuten, ebenso zur Tavernenmeile von Tigaki. Direkt vor dem Hotel kann man Fahrräder und Scooter mieten. Das Hotel verfügt über Parkplätze direkt vor dem Haus.
