Atlantica Mikri Poli Park (ex Carda Beach)

This is a great hotel for families. We paid for an upgraded room (thinking we were getting a Bunk Bed) and were given a room with access to a pool shared only with 4 other rooms. As our stay was on the last week the hotel was open (October Half Term) this was essentially our own pool! However, all the pools are very cold. There were barely 30 people left on the final Saturday so it was very quiet - however the hotel is clearly set up for 10 times more guests than that at least. It's reasonable to say the place is better for younger children. Our 10 year old loved it but 14 year old felt there wasn't enough to do for teenagers so we had to go offsite for teenager friendly activities. The Hotel staff are very personable and approachable, the entertainment and activities team were fantastic and memorable. I recommend this hotel for families. And the 15-20 minute airport transfer is definitely a bonus

Stayed here for 10 nights in October as a family of 4 with a toddler and a baby. We had the most amazing holiday here and have since been looking at when we can return! We got a free upgrade to a sea view family suite. Hugely spacious room with a great balcony which is also safe for children. Both cots were there on our arrival as requested. The only minor issue is that we were now on the second floor and there are no lifts which meant we had to carry our double buggy up and down stairs. Nothing to complain about but just a heads up for other people planning to bring a pram, to make sure you are on the ground floor. We were incredibly happy with the food. Breakfast was just perfect. We liked having the option of the main restaurant or Italian restaurant for breakfast. Lunch, we couldn’t believe the many options! Gyros, pizza and pasta bar, sandwich and wrap bar, or the general buffet restaurant. We were very happy with dinner. Never got bored of the options at the buffet, plenty of choice. We used our 1 a la carte in the Greek restaurant and the food was amazing. We then asked in reception if it would be possible to book another and they allowed us to also book the American Diner as they had extra availability. This was very kind of them as we knew we were usually only allowed 1 a la carte visit per stay. One of our favourite parts of this holiday was the coffee bar. Margareta and the other lady who worked there were two of the friendliest people we have ever met. They were both so loving with our daughters and it made us all look forward to going to see them and enjoy a coffee and a sweet treat every day. Other positives: The stay and play sessions in the kids club were great. So many toys that both of my daughters loved it in there. I wish I would have found out about it earlier in our holiday. The beach was great. The sea water was nice and warm despite it being end of October. Never struggled to find a sun lounger and great sand. Loved how close we were to Kardemena. Very easy to walk to for a nice browse around souvenir shops, the harbour and to stop for an iced coffee Good choice of cocktails in the hotel. Nice atmosphere around the pools. They were just way too cold this time of year. It’s a shame one of them couldn’t be heated. Used spa and the gym, decent facilities. Few pieces of gym equipment need fixing but made do and wasn’t really a problem. The only negative that we had is the locks on the room doors. You are not able to lock the doors from the inside, as they automatically lock from the outside and can only be opened from the outside with a room key. However, we did not like that as we were not able to lock the door from the inside or at least put a latch across as the door opened into the lounge where our toddler slept. I felt like this was a little unsafe. Our daughter could also reach up and open the door handle herself so we had to block the door. Another minor negative which we have seen in other reviews

The hotel is very nice, aesthetically beautiful and amazing location. Check In was fast, staff were lovely and the manager offered welcome drinks and took our child to get a drink whilst we checked in. The room was small, reading some reviews where lots of people say the rooms are spacious, I'm wondering if we were put in a small room? We are use to the rooms at Costa Del Sol holiday village which are fantastic. Date, but huge and very comfortable. This room was the opposite it's was small but modern. Food was great, typical all inclusive. We always found something to eat and the gyros van was visited a lot lol. Drinks weren't great, the wine seemed to only come from the machine, whereas I've had it from the bottle before in other resorts. There was also no beer on tap stations so you had to queue everytime you just wanted half a beer. There was a lack of theme nights which we have thoughly enjoyed in other resorts. All staff throughout our stay were really helpful, happy, friendly, the TUI entertainment staff were ( as always) 5 star. They always make the holiday for us, we have 1 child and the reason we choose these type of holiday is so he can make friends and and can go off and play with them throughout the day/evening. I think this is where we didn't enjoy this resort as much as others. There was a big lack of space for the kids to play / enjoy the entertainment in the evening. The Amphitheatre, whilst aesthetically pleasing was dangerous, uncomfortable and packed any atmosphere. We love the Costa set up where it's huge, loads of tables and chairs and very close to the bar, so the kids can enjoy the amazing entertainment and adults can relax with a drink. It was not like that here. The poor TUI entertainers really struggled to get people involved because of this. They were amazing and tried so hard to get people to get involved but it didn't quite flow like that. I've never seen that before and really felt for the entertainment team. Our child really struggled to make friends which was shame. We could have just paid half the price and gone to any type of resort. It was also very couple heavy from other parts of Europe which I think affected thee atmosphere in the resort. Maybe English not being their first language and not really getting out humour. The reason we pick TUI family holidays is for this fun part of the holiday but maybe the hotel is also advertised as not a family resort? There was a lot of PDA in the pools which made it quite uncomfortable with couples are dry humping next to children. I will defo come back to a TUI holiday village but I don't think this one was for us due to the lack of atmosphere, which had nothing to do with the TUI staff, just wasn't the fun we had previously had at Holiday villages. We spoke to some of the staff who said they felt the same.

: Hotel rated at 5 star but it is no way close, 3 star max!!! Rude staff at breakfast virtually pushing you out the door at 10am (open8:30-10:30) cold food, so called Italian restaurant is a joke pizza and bolognese which tastes nothing like bolognese! So called al a carte restaurants you can only used once a week and in choices in them is minimal!. The spa is run by a smoking Godzilla who is on her phone most of the time and the hot tub needs to be booked, no under 18’s but kid with armbands in it unnoticed!? Also be be warned you will need a Tetanus shot after it as the tub is that filthy! On the plus side the rooms are ok apart from for the last two weeks I thought I was a buffet for mosquitoes which is strange as I have never suffered before to discover we have bed bugs as my wife as also been bitten multiple times. I really feel that for £4.6k I have really had value for money (not). Once you are hit with the £240 tourist tax for 2 rooms I could have gone to the Caribbean for 2 weeks ( I feel like I have been mugged) Regards Roy Ps be warned don’t upset Godzilla she is big.

We spent a week here at the end of August and after reading the reviews before we came we were a little apprehensive, however please don’t dwell on the bad reviews, the hotel is beautiful the views are stunning everything was always clean, the variety of food is amazing. Best snack and lunch options we’ve ever had they serve you to the cleanliness is brilliant! The Gyros were delicious and pizza. The breakfast was lovely and lots of choice. If I had one complaint would be the lack of bottled water but that’s my personal preference and just brought some when we went into Kardamena to keep in the room. We had a one bedroom family room which worked well, was clean and bedding all clean. Was cleaned daily. We did get a couple of ants but nothing to moan to much about. The bar staff are all lovely and friendly always, the iced coffees were great! There are 2 sides of the hotel however is about a 5 min walk from one side to the other with bars & snack options on both. The water park is a short walk up the hill within the hotel grounds and the life guards are brilliant! We spent a couple of hours there with our 3 children 4,8&12 each day. Entertainment teams work so hard always lots for both adults and children going on! Evening entertainment was the best we’ve ever had. Location is brilliant 15 min walk into Kardamena with lots of lovely bars and shops. No body in our whole party was unwell and never went hungry. We have booked again for next year.

I had a couple of body massages with Ahmed, the facilities are amazing, the massages were the best I've had I had a bad shoulder and Ahmed sorted it out for me, I feel like a new person I had the massage on the last day of my holiday and I was very relaxed on the aeroplane, worth every penny
