A nice stay where the staff go above and beyond. However, I wouldn't be having this as a 5-star hotel. I'll go through each part of our stay. Check-In This was nice and easy and the man in reception went through everything quickly and as we were the only ones checking in at the time, walked us directly to our room. This was outside the reception and over across a busy main road. Room As mentioned, we had to cross the a road out of Reception and then across a further busy road across to our building. What I hadn't been aware of was the complex is spread across five different buildings, so by the time we got into our room, we felt detached from the rest of the hotel. At around 2am after a busy day travelling, it wasn't the welcome I was hoping for and I did feel down at this point. The room itself is fine, but a little basic? We walked in and there were bunk beds in the main 'living' area, along with the usual kitchen appliances and a bedroom with two single beds. We ended up buying further coat hangers from a local shop as for a very large sliding wardrobe, there was about 5 hangers. The wraparound balcony is very large, however, it overlooks a main road and there are cars, buses, lorries and scooters going along pretty much 24 hours a day. So it can be difficult getting either an early night or a lie-in due to the outside noise. The cleaning of the rooms is done daily and to an excellent standard. Pool/Bar Area For us, there is a busy road to overcome which meant it's not quite as easy to simply nip back to the room as and when you needed to. As for the "no reserving sunbeds" rule, this clearly isn't acted on. I was going to the pool area around 7:30am-8am each day and even by then, about 80% of the sunbeds, if not more, had towels on them with nobody on them. The pools itself are really good and spacious and the slides in the pool are very good for young children. There are activities on around the pool most days, with Panos in particular very good at getting involved in water polo, crazy golf, ping pong etc. The other lifeguard (Ianis?) is excellent at interacting with everyone too. Good idea with the QR codes around the pool so you order food/drinks to your sunlounger. €5 for a large beer is fine, considering what you're paying elsewhere, though somewhat disappointing to be charged €3 for a "Sprite", which turned out to be poured straight from a Lidl-branded lemonade 2l bottle! Breakfast We stayed on a B&B basis so went to the breakfast buffet each morning. A lovely and varied selection so no complaints on this. While we didn't have lunch or dinner at any point, we did see others too and the food did look impressive. Nearby There are plenty of shops and supermarkets nearby for any and all essentials. We didn't stay in the hotel at night, so can't comment on the theme nights held. It's around a 5-min walk to the harbour and 15-mins to Kos town itself. The restaurants along the front at the hotel/Harbour end were fantastic and gave
