Having read some awful reviews just before we were due to stay at this hotel, we were expecting some sort of Greek Colditz, so were pleasantly surprised to find it’s far from that. Yes, as others have pointed out, it does have some issues, old and tatty furniture, cleaning a bit erratic, broken paving stones causing possible trip hazards etc, and various maintenance problems. But on the other hand, we found the food to be perfectly acceptable with a wide choice (although the same wide choice a lot of the time) and you’d have to be the world’s fussiest eater not not something you liked every mealtime. Our room, 355, was spacious, clean enough with amazing views over Kos town and over to Turkey. We had a pool right outside our apartment which was lovely and we have no complaints about cleanliness. Also, it was far enough away from the entertainment to suit us perfectly. We wanted sun, a nice pool, fabulous view and peace and quiet and we got all of them. People with children would probably prefer to be nearer the main pool as there were various things going on and I understand the entertainment teams were really good. The bars had lots of unbranded cocktails which I thought were lovely but I don’t think the beer was great but as I don’t drink beer, I couldn’t really comment or complain. We used the free minibus down into town one day but you have to book the times you want at 6.00pm the previous evening as it gets booked very quickly. I think what people have to remember is that this hotel is cheaper than most All Inclusive hotels in the Mediterranean, so in my opinion represents good value for money. It’s not a British 4* standard, more like 3*, so don’t expect luxury, and if you’re determined to find lots of niggling issues then you will find them. But we saw lots of people there enjoying their holiday, as we did.
