Porto Bello Beach

Our 2nd visit to the Porto bello beach, and it was fantastic again! I had emailed the hotel beforehand for a room in a specific block, in which was granted and we had a bottle of wine and 2 kids juices as a welcome gift. The rooms are clean, and spacious. Fridge is stocked with water a few times The food - I cannot praise this enough. It’s incredible, so much choice. Not only for the adults but the kids. Mine have never ate so much! I especially loved the little bowls of fresh salad and the tzatziki. The desserts are showstoppers. And so fresh and delicious. There are 3 themed nights, Asian, Mexican and Greek. All 3 were amazing. The restaurant- staff didn’t seem as proactive this year, a few times we were sat with empty plates for ages whilst some tables had the waiters constantly waiting on them. Plus trying to get more coffee in the mornings was a struggle. My daughter burnt herself at the kids section. On the heat lamps. The manager kindly gave us cream for the night to help it heal. The pools - Salt water but not noticeable. They are however freezing cold. Not to bad for my oldest but my 2 year old didn’t like it at all. Plenty of sunbeds, some days were quiet but some were busy so we needed to reserve sunbeds early. The beach - we spent most of our holiday here as the kids loved playing by the sea. Plenty of sunbeds and only a short 3 Min walk from the hotel. Bars - arch bar in the lobby. Queues can get long. You can take the drinks in to the restaurant with you. Beach bar, great staff, lovely ice creams, and you can also get hot dogs and burgers. The pool bar, friendly staff, Cakes and biscuits provided through the day, ideal for when the kids needed snacks. Shop - inflatables and toys are expensive. However you can take your own inflatables and they will blow them up for you 1€. Aqua park - pools are cold, the kids pool is fab for older kids. Jets are quite powerful and can get noisy. We loved the lazy river. Entry into park is included if you stay at the Porto bello beach, but not food and drink. Entertainment- here is what lets the hotel down. Kids Disco doesn’t start until 8.30pm in the theatre, I’ve never been to a hotel where kids entertainment starts this late. It lasts half hour until 9pm. Then you have to decide whether to go back to the lobby bar entertainment (singers or bingo at 9.30) or wait another half hour in the theatre until a show starts (if any) during our week stay there was only 2 shows in the theatre. However we did enjoy the Greek dancing at the pool area. The entertainment team are great with kids. And Au, who we met last year always made a fuss of my daughter.

Definately a holiday to remember. The staff catered for my husband and daughters birthday wonderfully. Food was delicious, rooms spacious and absolutely spotless but the highlight was the incredible animation team! Constantly keeping both adults and children entertained and happy. The kids club was a stand out by far! First time letting my children go, however they loved every second, they were happy and in safe hands, top safety precautions taken and they were even brought back to me hand in hand with staff giggling and happy at the time I requested. Definately shout out to Elyas and Au! This is one of the main reasons the holiday was so memorable for the children and why we have booked again!!

Un immense merci à Lusien et "Bingo guy haha" pour leur super énergie pendant tout le séjour ! Grâce à eux, on ne s’est jamais ennuyés, entre les jeux, les rires, ils ont su créer une atmosphère conviviale et amusante, notamment pendant les jeux. On a passé des moments géniaux. Vous êtes au top !

Great hotel definitely coming back with daughter next time, lovely staff especially Leah and Melissa the english girls if i remember correctly, made us feel really welcome. Amazing food even for fussy eaters and lots of activities to do even when it rained.

Stayed here September 21 be careful at this hotel as my partner had a fall outside our apartment on a broken step and broke her hip I rung reception he said he will ring a taxi luckly some people came along who were German doctors they got on the phone and said get ambulance now a member of staff turn up in a laggage buggy and said put her to bed a doctor will be here in morning we said your joking we had to lay my partner on the back seat of this buggy whil she was crying in pain till we got to reception were asked for a blanket they dint have had to use a sheet there was no first aider there and since all this she passed away age 61 joke and I dint even see a life guard there and as for tui unless couldn't get hold of them

Overall this hotel is excellent for a 4 star. We had a lovely holiday, thank you TUI Things done well * Food quality was amazing for a buffet all you can eat * Staff everywhere very pleasant and helpful * Room cleaning do an excellent job every day * Rooms are spacious and quiet * Location from the airport is close and the hotel is right on the beach * Aquatica splash park is amazing * Kids love the night time entertainment Things to be improved / suggestions * No gym or exercise facility * Not many day time pool activities * No toddler club facility and kids club facility is basic and could use an upgrade * Pools could use heating when it’s not quite hot enough towards end of summer season But again it’s a great hotel and recommended for a family break
