"Impossible not to evaluate this property without mentioning their discourtesy. We booked a room at 20h02 for 3 nights, for the following day and at 20h04 we realized we commited a mistake and would arrive not the following day, but the day after. We immediately called the hotel and the guy who was there said he didnt know how to fix it but asked for us to call in the morning so someone would help. At the same time I wrote trip.com and they said they would promptly contact the property to see of they could change the check in day as we realized our mistake 2 minutes after booking. We tried to contact the property also via chat and absolutely no answer. Then a refusal for the date changes. We got a friend called the property in the morning as requested and a lady asked for my whatsapp and when I explained the situation she said in a rude way like "what can we do?". Anyways, it was our mistake but could have been gently helped by the property, but didnt. As soon as we arrived the hotel, no lift and the guys in the reception watched us strugling to lift our luggaes on the stairs. Discourtesy again. The toilet was smelly and very old. Besides that, hard to find a sit for breakfast as no one collected the used plates. All team in hotel should do a better hospitality service. The only good thing about this place is the location."

"We stayed for 1 night. Thank God, because we were with a child, they gave us a non-smoking room. In general, the Turks need to do something about this! Smoking is prohibited in public places. Dog-friendly - also a rather rare occurrence in these places. Otherwise, the hotel is very shabby, these are not 5 stars. The room is large. Water / tea and instant coffee (in five stars!). For 3 people, they gave a room without an extra bed. My 11-year-old daughter and I, of course, fit in a single bed, but still it is strange. The breakfast is just awful. A mountain of bread, eggs rolled over until blue, fried eggs or omelettes are fried in terrible frying pans. Judging by the look, the cheese is cut in the evening, it is all stale, I will not even mention the sausage - how can you eat Turkish sausage and hot dogs - is unclear. The only edible thing Nea breakfast - kaymak and honey in the comb. That's it! The parking lot is full, but if you give the keys to the parking attendant, they will put it. This year Türkiye left some indelibly unpleasant trace."

"Otel Dervish is ideally located five minutes from the Mevlana mausoleum square and the main bazaar. It’s in a beautifully restored Turkish manor house with lovely carpets everywhere. The grounds are well kept and secure . Muammer and the staff are exceptionally hospitable and very informative. I especially enjoyed conversations with Muammer as he has broad knowledge of Turkish culture and history. The Turkish breakfast is a wonderfully varied and ample buffet. The rooms are bright, roomy, with modern bathrooms. Everything is spotlessly clean. It is in a very quiet location with the front rooms having a view of the Selemiye mosque. I found the Dervish a wonderful value especially considering the excellent quality of all of its attributes."

"The hotel is located in the heart of the city, which is convenient for sightseeing. The staff were respectful and polite. However, my overall experience was disappointing. Despite advertising free parking, the hotel does not provide any parking facilities at all, not even a paid option, which feels misleading. The hotel in general was not clean, the rooms were poorly maintained, and the towels were even torn. Breakfast offered very limited choices and was unsatisfying. At night, the area was extremely noisy due to cats being fed by the hotel staff fighting outside until late hours. Otel genel olarak temiz değildi, odalar bakımsızdı ve havlular yırtıktı. Kahvaltı seçenekleri çok kısıtlı ve tatmin edici değildi. Geceleri ise otel çalışanlarının beslediği kedilerin sokakta kavga etmesi nedeniyle ortam oldukça gürültülüydü. Ne yazık ki merkezi konum ve nazik personel dışında bu oteli tavsiye edemem."
