Silver Bay Hotel

I had a terrible experience here at the hotel. I get to the hotel and it says it's 'closed' but there's only 5 other rooms out of 40-50?. So there's no bar, or food service at all. I had to be driven to their partner hotel 1km out to get breakfast which was included in my package and that was average at best. Then had to wait another half an hour after breakfast to be picked up (even if it was a 3 minute drive back) and the driver saw us and decided to go somewhere else into the hotel? In the room I had, the telephone didn't work so I had to come up and down to ask for basic things. In the morning, my power was cut off because they were having issues with the power. Another guest said that their power and water was cut off the day before and I was given no notice or information about this. In general, the exterior could've been maintained better and the pool was filthy and not maintained. They said they were opening the day after I left but by the looks of it, nothing was prepared for this in the first place! I don't understand why they would be accepting guests when they are 'closed'! I was told by another guest who spoke Greek that apparently on the system they have, they can't see the guests and all unless they have over 25 bookings?! I do believe if they were open it would've been a different experience. However this really impacted my trip and first impressions. Luckily I was only there for a night compared to other people who were there for a few days and had to suffer here. I don't expect it to look exactly like the pictures however, I did expect to have all the facilities that was included! In the photos you can see what I was supposed to receive e.g. bar and food but the food area was closed off! Nothing was communicated in advance properly. Very disappointed with this and if they sort themselves out, I think this would've been a better experience.

Отличный отель по недорогой цене - качество сервисов и номеров. Есть завтраки. Море от отеля в 19 мин, где пляж с галькой и в 30 мин пляж с песком (лежак 5 евро), если идти пешком. До города ходят автобус 7 примерно 15 мин до центра Керкиры каждые 20-30 мин. От остановки до отеля примерно 8 мин пешком. Персонал вежливый, в номере убирали и было чисто. У отеля есть бассейн, где можно полежать или поплавать.

Hotel has been refurbished to good standard. Breakfast was of good range and quality. Negatives were a rusty, leaking ancient fridge in room and disappointing pool area with uncomfortable sun beds and “pool bar” which was just a display fridge with limited range of canned drinks.

Jail cell! The hotel is in bad disrepair, the rooms need better furniture as ours was broken and looked like a jail cell, the shower flooded the whole room, there was creatures all over the room, the beds was very hard, ut was a total disgrace, the breakfast was included in the price, dont bother though as the bread had green mould, the croissants was stale, the yogurt tasted sour, the scrambled eggs was like water, not a lot to choose from really unless u wanted to die of food poisening, the pool was dirty couldn't swim in it, after asking for it to be cleaned they said the maintenance was busy, we ended up going to the beach! So yeah, no sleep in our jail cell, broken furniture terrible bathroom, couldn't eat breakfast and couldn't use the pool, total waste if time, im asking for a refund!
