Second time to repeat the experience. And the love story continues. The location may seem off the epic center of kolkata, the property is amazing. Plus I avoid 20 floor stuffy glass all over properties, which makes this beautiful boutique property my sweet spot. Raajkutir is designed on the lines of a traditional Bengali ‘Raajbari’. With a courtyard and rooms all around it's lively. Morning flute, evening tea and jhalpuri, evening cultural performances, this time I stayed at the Sarai wing. Much quieter that the main building the rooms are bigger and with terrace (some mine was ;)) Lovely rooms, veranda, banquets, gardens, courtyard, spa etc. Staff is stellar over my two trips I have met super people. Raj at reception, Manoj at restaurants, shayree restaurant staff, somuya at bar, Naresh housekeeping. These are just some names, there were definitely many more. Side note at both times when I have been at the property there has been a wedding. In a good way the property is ideal for a small wedding with guests staying over together. A little cafe and great artifacts scattered all over just add the right touch. I'm back March now.
