never been a 5 star hotel more like 3 at the most . no variation in food same every day poor access to the beach wet room was a death trap shiny tiles slippery when wet is an understatement food at the pool bar wasn't always fresh and the pizza was like cardboard on our last day the hotel was shutting down so 11.00am check out and not picked up till 5.30pm so had to walk down to the harbour for lunch at our expense of over 70 euros . satellite tv is ok as long as you want to watch BBC news everything else is foreign apart my daughters suffering from food poisoning early in the holiday 2 bottles of water only on the first day then you had to fill it up yourselves at a water machine which was on the next floor. The staff were pretty friendly especially the bar staff.

I have gotten out of the habit of reviewing hotels but this was so bad that it has spurred me to restart. Stayed here with a large group for 12 days. It's hard to think of a place that deserves to be called a "hotel" less than here. Amusingly the hotel claims to be 5 star. The rooms themselves are basic and certainly not 5 star. Everything had a bad quality about it and parts fell apart upon touching them. Any request for new items or fixing were ignored until nagged about. Some in our party had broken showers which took two days to fix. Others moved rooms, twice in one case. Housekeeping was a joke, with rooms being "cleaned" until late at night on some days. When they came, they dumped folded sheets on the bed without making the bed. On some days no sheet was left at all. One day I just took one myself from the cart in the end. On another day, they left 4 pillow cases stacked instead of the sheets. I only discovered this when getting into bed at midnight. So I had to get dressed and go to reception to get a sheet, as the cart had gone. Reception didn't bother to apologise. Housekeeping didn't knock when entering the room. One day I was in an important work call when a cleaner waltzed in. I had to terminate the call and ask them to leave. No apology was offered until I escalated the matter to the manager. Others complained of being walked in on in the shower and more. For the first few days there was a lack of hot water in most rooms. (Very 5 star!). After a few days of complaint from many the hotel did us a favour and switched on a boiler. Overall the place feels unfinished and of bad quality build, with unsafe staircases and bits falling off. There was an outside caterer so I can't comment on the place's food. The staff in the dining room were very good, in contrast to the rest of the place. In summary, this can't be described as a hotel as the place clearly isn't run as one. More like a holiday camp, if we are being generous.

Die Zimmer an sich sind schön und geräumig, das war’s dann aber auch. Hotelanlage gleicht einem unfertigen Betonblock, Service eher unfreundlich (bis auf die nette Dame am Empfang), Getränke nicht trinkbar, Finger weg von den „Cocktails“, alles Syrup, selbst die „Coca Cola“, Essen auch schlecht. Mein Partner und ich lagen beide nach Tag Zwei mit Magen Darm im Bett. Der Preis ist nicht gerechtfertigt. Reinigungskraft kam mehrfach morgens ohne klopfen ins Zimmer.

I definitely would not recommend this hotel for relaxation or food quality. On arrival the receptionist were not welcoming nor did they smile. We only used the pool once as the music blasting out from the pool bar was not relaxing. The bar staff especially Dafne were miserable. The drinks are definitely low quality and diluted and the food boring and repetitive. No fresh fruit juice only syrups !!! We ate out most meals and used the beach in the day. This is definitely not a 5 star hotel. My only positive is that the rooms were really nice and kept very clean the cleaners always said hello with smiles. Maybe you have the right staff but in the wrong roles.

You pay premium rates, but the hotel is FAR from premium. We booked a room with a private pool at Galini Palace Hotel in Crete, through Bravo Tours in Denmark The website states that these rooms are located by the hotel's communal pool, as shown in all Bravo Tours pictures. This was also confirmed by Bravo Tours over the phone. Instead, we were assigned a room that in no way matched what we had been promised. It is clear that Galini Palace Hotel and Bravo Tours deliberately choose not to mention or show anything about the type of room we were given. In fact, the entire backside of the hotel and these rooms are not shown or mentioned anywhere, probably because they are located next to what looks like a dump. Or because the "private pool," which is actually the size of a large bathtub, does not match what they advertise on their websites. All of this is done to mislead customers. According to one employee, the room was recently built, while another employee claimed it was recently renovated. It seems that they are not clear about which falsehoods they tell customers about these rooms. It was obvious that the room was not finished, as the tiles around and in the "pool" were not even completed. Notice how our feet look after a dip in the pool. To complete the surprise, as shown in the pictures, the toilet was marked as cleaned and even sanitized / disinfected before our arrival, but the stench and dried feces in the bowl told a completely different story. We usually book 5-star hotels, and this hotel is nowhere near the claimed 5-star class, and both Galini Palace Hotel and Bravo Tours are misleading the customers. The hotel is run by amateurs who cannot even manage the basic skills. Everything is lacking at this hotel. Just take a look at the pictures. Look at the dining chairs. Look at the bathrooms. Look at the level of cleanliness. In addition, the service is terrible. For example, it took 7 hours and multiple requests to get a single towel delivered since the room was not prepared for three guests. They only brought it after we contacted the reception for the fourth time and demanded that they deliver it within the next 5 minutes. Another example of poor service is that guests have to stand in long lines to get a lukewarm drink at the pool bar because the staff shows up 30 minutes after the bar's opening hours and are both slow and understaffed to handle the number of guests. A simple gin and tonic can take up to 20 minutes to prepare after standing in line for 15 minutes in 30+ celsius degree heat. Allegedly the hotel can only issue one key card per room, even though there were three paying customers staying in the room. They blame the card-system for "not supporting multiple cards per room," which turned out to be yet another falsehood. In the restaurant, there is total chaos. The staff does not even have control over simple processes for clearing and setting tables for dining guests. They wander around like headless chickens in a los
