Vikasa Yoga Retreat

I did the 300h advanced yoga teacher training in Vikasa (May 2025). It’s was 32 days full of yoga, philosophy, meditation, pranayama, teacher development, magic moments and beautiful people. The vikasa teachers were all willing to teach us as much as they could. The organization of the courses was very good and in general the entire program. Almost 5 weeks with lots of practical and theoretical lessons. The Vikasa philosophy is more oriented in pranayama and in meditation. Of course there is practical training but it all revolves around the pranayama- meditation. Kostas the founder of Vikasa yoga method explains during the training how the entire philosophy of this school was created. The stay was very good. The rooms were clean and the service was great. The Vikasa life cafe made the brunch and the dinner every day for us. The food it was ok, not so much my tastes but ok. The quantities were good. The pool was nice and clean. The Black lotus sala has the most beautiful view of the ocean. Thanks you Vikasa for the beautiful experience 🧡

Vikasa is simply a magical place. I spent 9 weeks there, doing different trainings with them, such as the Sound Healing Training, both the 200+300 hours Yoga teacher training and the Evole retreat. All together was a life changing experience. The teachers are just wonderful and very professional, the structure and methodology of the trainings are at a high level, while providing a very welcoming, supportive and integrating space for their students. The staff is very friendly, the Life Cafe has a homie, friendly vibe and the whole community in general is open-minded and supportive. I am very happy for choosing Vikasa. Thank you each and everyone one of you for building this place to what it is today. 💗 I stayed in Yoga Cave plus and I loved it. The room is spacious enough for one person and has a wonderful view. The delicious mainly plant-based breakfast and dinner buffet, as well as all the regular yoga classes are included in the room price, which is a huge bonus, especially for anyone wishing for a yoga holiday. They also have a wonderful pool with a perfect view over the sea downstairs and many hidden gem places around the resort where you can have some quiet place for yourself or maybe a meditation session. Whether you are a yoga lover or not, Vikasa is a place not to be missed when in Ko Samui. It also has one of the most beautiful views on the island.

I completed a personalized deepen program with Kara and it was absolutely incredible. We spent a lot of time together, and she was very hands-on—it felt truly personal and supportive. The group yoga schedule was packed with variety and really well thought out. I got to experience so many different practices including yoga, breathwork, gong sessions, sound healing, and even Kirtan. The instructors were all excellent and brought something special to each session. As a solo traveller, I felt completely at ease and met lots of other yogis who were also on solo journeys. The community vibe was warm, open, and inspiring. The food was another highlight—delicious, healthy, and full of variety. Every day had a new theme, and the meals were always something to look forward to. And the cherry on top? The waterfall hike that was included in my program and available as an option for all guests. It was such a beautiful and grounding experience—an unforgettable way to connect with nature and round out the retreat. This place is perfect for a solo retreat, and I can definitely see myself coming back again and again.

Prennent clairement les pratiquants de yoga pour des pigeons, les prix du restaurant sont extrêmement élevés, on a commandé un hummus et avons reçu quelques morceaux de légumes et 4 crackers, ils ont d'ailleurs refusé de nous ajouter quelques crackers... Ils ajoutent par ailleurs 7% à la note finale pour je ne sais quelle taxe que je n'ai vu nulle par ailleurs en Thaïlande. Ils ajoutent aussi 40 bath pour le lait qu'ils ont mis dans le café au lait!!!! L'endroit est joli mais vraiment un attrape pigeons

I loved my stay at Vikasa. The location is breathtaking, with panoramic ocean views. The food is healthy, fresh and delicious. Daily free yoga classes with top-level teachers were the highlight. It’s a refined, peaceful place to truly relax and recharge.

I stumbled across Vikasa early 2024, I was looking for yoga classes whilst staying on Koh Samui. I joined a handful of classes back then at the white shala…stunning shala with breathtaking views of the sea. I had classes with Jovan and Ann which I loved so so much. I also ate at the life cafe a few times and everything I ate was delicious! I then decided I wanted to complete my 200hr YTT and booked with Vikasa for a whole year later. I’ve just completed 3 incredible weeks at Vikasa. I have zero complaints. I stayed in one of the yoga cave rooms. Modern rooms with stunning views, cleaned everyday. The shared bathrooms were also modern and cleaned multiple times a day. Brunch and dinner buffet was included and varied daily with different theme/cuisine in the evenings. Everything fresh, healthy and delicious. All staff were amazing. Polite, attentive and they knew all 30 of our names and room numbers by heart. As for the teacher training, I will remember this experience for life. Kosta, Nikki, Mikey, Michael, Alex, Victoria and Kara. Each one of you made my time unforgettable. I still don’t have all the words! I will return and already considering when I can come back for my 300hr!
