Rung Arun Resort

This is still our favourite place to stay, it’s home! Its location is perfect, right on a quiet beach with bars and restaurants just steps away. The main road is 5 minutes walk with supermarkets and plenty of places to eat. It’s easy to get a taxi for the short ride to Thongsala or Haad Rin, or hire motorbikes through the hotel to tour the island. The gardens and pool are beautiful and the beach has plenty of natural shade from the trees. They provide daily cleaning and towel change with regular bed linen change too. The resort is home to some lovely laid back rescue cats and dogs and some chickens too. It all feels very natural. There is good food and drinks available right next door for reasonable prices. Best local food is on the road, 5 minutes away called Noodleicious. Located on the road (at the top of the path and turn right) for amazing noodles and authentic fried Thai food.

Der letzte Laden, an Unfreundlichkeit kaum zu überbieten. Wir hatten hier 3 Tage gebucht. Als wir an dem Resort ankamen waren wir überrascht wie dreckig und ungepflegt es hier ist. An der Rezeption empfing uns ein Thailänder und sagte gleich wir sollten 4800 Baht zahlen, kein freundliches Wort, kein Sawadee Krab …. Als wir sagten wir haben über Booking. Com gebucht… wir sollten sofort 4800 Baht zahlen. Meine Freundin und ich schauten uns an und verließen das Resort fluchtartig. Der Mann war anscheinend total unter Drogen.
