The Hamuse Hotel Kodaikanal - Luxury Redefined

Room was near and clean. Hospitality is very good . People are very courteous to attend our need. Thanks for having us over there and attend our need. Aromas Restaurant food is good and if you are having baby, they will make the food especially for baby which is plus point for me.

Very Nice Staff. Located in main location just opposite to Kodaikanal bus Stand. Bryant Park, Coakers Walk & Kodaikanal Lake are all at walkable distance. Good breakfast buffet menu. Night menu was buffet. Nice and cosy rooms with valley view and also with city view for many rooms

amazing room, housekeeping staff & courteous reception. restaurant is good. prompt service. beautiful interiors& lighting. breakfast is good. prime location. all tourists places are nearby & can be covered in a day. I ll love to book again.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days in May 2024. It was truly a memorable stay. The hotel is centrally located and within easy walking distance from the lake, Coaker's Walk and other places of interest. Buses, taxis are all available at the doorstep. Mr Senthil with his hotel staff were always there, going out of their way, to help and make our stay comfortable and memorable. The presence of Mr Senthil made all the difference. He defined hospitality at its best. The room was large and well maintained. Our room was on the rear side, away from the road, thus was quiet. We were lucky to see a bison on the property, one day. The hotel has 2 good restaurants on-site. Alcohol is served in one. The food served is delicious. The hotel has adequate car parking space, and also a place for the drivers to stay. I would recommend Hotel Hamuse to anybody going to Kodaikanal.

Sitting near the lake , We were searching for good places to eat a quiet dinner and found this place on google with good rating ( we realised later that the rating was for stay...not the restaurant !!)... So we took the turn towards the bus stand and reached the Hamuse. Ample parking is there at the back of the restaurant. We reached somewhere around 7.15pm..the buffet was getting ready and there was complete commotion around...anyway we settled for an a-la-carte and belted out our orders...there begins our trauma...!! They said 4 soups cannot be given , only 2 can be given...for which i argued and insisted on 4 which the manager confirmed will take 30min..no issues...we had the whole night😁. The clear soup came after 40min , it was literally translated...just hot water and very clear..the hot and sour was way off the mark . The chicken 65 seemed like the chef was having a very very bad day...it was totally burnt and the taste was horrible to say the least...what the hell.... Rest of the menu had nothing exciting at all. The only observation was waiting for 20min to get 2 phulkaas....enough..time to pay up and leave...huge billl , no value for money food...who gave 3 stars to them...never ever....Please be aware....everything which glitters is not gold

Liked:  Neat rooms  Located in middle of the city, couple of attractions in city are in walkable distance. So you can avoid taking your car and getting stuck in traffic and finding a parking spot  Many shops located nearby like spices, chocolates etc. So purchasing it will be easy and you don’t need spend a lot of time on this  Complimentary Breakfast was fantastic. Good variety and was safe to stomach  2 restaurants are available and both are good  Overall property maintained neatly    Didn’t like:  Price too high. Because it was a season time, the rates were jacked-up. Not sure if it was done from property side or booking app side  While location is key, the downside of it is, little noisy. I got road facing room, you can constantly hear honks  Parking – they have an open parking which is little away. You got to depend on the hotel person to get your car. While they were always happy to help, I would prefer to have it my way.  Checkin – out time should be changed. It says 11 AM – 10 AM. But I would prefer 12 PM-11 AM  Last day of my stay, hot water was not coming and response from the team was poor  Guys in the reception should be more engaging. They were busy checking mobile and computers (was it official or personal, I don’t know)
