"The hotel is great. The room was clean, modern and first class. However, the restaurant was very disappointing. There was black feather chicken with gnocchi and spinach. The gnocchi were not homemade, but a ready-made product, like the ones you buy in bags at Metro, industrially manufactured. One gnocchi was the same as the next and the texture was much too hard. The black feather chicken consisted of the leg, with the upper leg boned. Unfortunately, the dish had been cooked through in the morning and only warmed up in the convection oven in the evening, not even heated up. The spinach was excellent and freshly prepared, however. At €38, the whole thing was more than overpriced and does not suit the hotel. My wife's dish was much better, however. The mashed potatoes were fresh and the fish tender. The dessert was also very good. The staff were very attentive and friendly."

"This hotel has a few plus points: the location, the restaurant and the kind staff. The negative points, however, are many and ruined the whole experience for me. This is advertised as a 4 star hotel, and I am not sure why, since even a 3 star status would be generous. Starting from the room, very outdated, super small (we couldn't really move), with an open bathroom which makes it very difficult, at night, not to wake up everyone else in the room if you need to use the toilet. The quality of the toiletries is very low, and basically a single soap for everything. The tv is super small, difficult to watch from the bed, and the closet very narrow for a family of three. There was no coffee/tea set, and the beds were quite old, with weird sheets that felt rough on the skin. Also, the door did not close automatically, and needed various attempts in order to lock properly. As a result, the first day I am pretty sure we left it open. The smell in the corridor was not very pleasant. Apart from the poor quality of the room, however, what is really concerning is security. None ever checked our IDs, during our stay, not even at check-in. Also, since the reception is only open until 22.00 (which is very weird for a supposedly 4 star hotel, and also not specified in English in the confirmation email or on the website, only available in German), our key was left behind a vase on a table behind the automatic back door which anyone could freely access. Breakfast was not very rich, although decent. Overall, a disappointing experience, although I must admit service was very kind and the common areas quite pleasant."

"There was dust in unaccessible places, but the rest was clean. The hotel is very beautiful and has a very original decor, but without strides. It is like a country house located in the entire nature on the river Mosela. It is not far from the center and the delicious walk you can take until you arrive there compensates any distance. If you look for quietness and a monacal silence to sleep, this is the right place. The room is spacious and is very well distributed. I can't comment on breakfast because I haven't used that service. I would return to that hotel without doubt."
