Outstanding.10 Stars. Thank you everyone at Nikara Liked · Wow. We stayed at Nikara for 3 weeks. It was fabulous. The villa was exceptional as was the resort. We were looked after so well. The team went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and wanted. The owners were lovely and treated us like family. Excellent food. Excellent location and overall outstanding. It IS the best resort on the coast with beautiful gardens that lead to a quiet stunning beach. We met many people staying in other resorts and they all said that they wished they had booked at Nikara instead. If you want a quiet location with nearby safari's, beautiful food and superb staff to look after you, then just book. 10 stars. You won't be dissapointed. Thank you to everyone who looked after us. If you want to explore, Ask for Randika who drove us everywhere in his Tuk Tuk. Excellent driver.

We stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed it / wish we were staying for longer. The property was well maintained and bedrooms spotless but it was really the service that made this place. The staff were super helpful and accommodating. The only downside was the limited dinner menu (there are not many options nearby to head out to either)

The hotel is a little corner of paradise! The neighbouring beach is wonderful and the hotel grounds are also very beautiful and green. The food was also super good and fresh - we recommend the grilled fish! The only thing you definitely need is mosquito repellent. Thanks also to the great team and to Jeewa for the friendly welcome and the great stay!

The hotel is as advertised so no complaints there. The reason for the bad rating is the extortionate, basically theft, prices my wife and I were charged for an evening meal, 19 US dollars each for curry and rice which in Sri Lanka is ridiculous. As you are a captive audience, unless you have your own transport you have no opportunity to avoid the horrendous charges.

Nice place. The room was clean, comfortable. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. We enjoyed it. Staff was very friendly. This house is on the beach. You can to enjoy seabath, walking on the beach. On this place you can to feel like a home.

Our family booked the whole villa with 7 rooms but Though this place looks beautiful and eco friendly, the service here was very very disappointing. MR. ARALIYA one of the staff who confirmed the booking for us mentioned that all sort of facilities was available at the villa but once we went there we had to face a midnight power cut and also power cut during the day time as the generators was not fixed. A/C in the main room was not working, there was no shampoo in the washroom, very few staff and they had long faces and attitude behavior towards us. The pool was very unclean. They did not provide us with drinking water on the second day. For the price we paid it was honestly disappointing. Consider before going here please. At last before our departure we had a negotiation on the price we had to pay and asked for a deduction due to the poor service but they refused and did not give a reasonable response and the most disgraceful thing was, they did not open the gate for us to leave. My brother opened it by himself and we left. Very unethical and unprofessional behavior and attitude.

The environment is mind blowing. The rooms are good but can't be satisfied with the cleanliness and amenities. Staff are friendly but lack professionalism and experience. Environment is full of trees. Service is at rock bottom. If one is planning a stay, double confirm what are the facilities available specifically, don’t presume you will get what is advertised. (Is shower and taps in the room works, what type toiletries available and whether they are replenished daily, bottled water provided daily etc.). Additionally, whether main pool and private pools are cleaned, chlorinated, for you to use on arrival, Air conditioner is functioning as required. Ideally Negotiate discount rates for not providing mentioned amenities / service before you confirm the booking. Though We confirmed the booking well in advance and paid the advance booking charges, we were greeted with uncleaned, unchlorinated messy pools, Aircon not working in one room, faulty power generator, no toiletries other than 01 soap (double and triple rooms). Bottled water on day one only. Or you may be greeted with “if you are not happy with what we have please find another place”.
