"The hotel is about 4-5 kilometers away from Kinsale. It costs 15 yuan to take a taxi (the hotel will call one for you) or about 13 yuan to call a taxi yourself. But it is difficult to get in. The hotel is on Kinsale Mountain, with a very quiet and comfortable environment, fresh air and plenty of sunshine. The hotel has a complete gym and swimming facilities, and a rich breakfast. The room is clean and tidy, and the front desk staff is warm and thoughtful."

The Old Bank Town House

"The best thing about The Old Bank Townhouse is the location which is in the centre of Kinsale. Apart from that we were disappointed. Upon arrival at around 3:30pm, we went to reception where we were waiting and had to ask one of the cleaners where someone was to check us in. We were told we had to go to their sister hotel (The Blue Haven) down the street and go to the reception there to check in. This may sound like a small thing but we had quite a bit of luggage with us. For what you get, the room is not cheap (€289). I don’t think it’s too much to think that we should have been told where to check in before we arrive. They obviously do it his way to save on having to pay someone to be at the reception in The Old Bank Townhouse. We have stayed here a few times but this is the last time. The room itself is dated and needs updating for the money they charge. It is also noisy and you can hear the people in the hallway and in the next room very easily as well as people out on the street. This experience left a bad taste in the mouth so to speak from the get go. There are other places in Kinsale doing it far better than here at less money."
