This tower-style hotel stands out a little in the Hull Docks landscape at the moment, but I'm sure will fit in when other buildings appear. One of the two lifts from the lobby to the reception area wasn't working which made for long trips up and down the hotel with the number of guests, but the brilliant guy on the main desk suggested another lift further into the hotel that saved the day. The walls are thin and some of the other guests chose not to be quiet during my stay. Combined with an old-fashioned air conditioner that would start up noisily at random through the night - I got perhaps a couple of hours' sleep. My fault perhaps - I should have sprung for a higher priced room. The beds in most of the Premiere Inns are uniformly good - though the pillows here were too thin on their own, or too thick when doubled up. To be honest - after 4 hours of no sleep (I could hear not just the tv of the woman next door - but also her loud snoring!), I'd had a sense-of-humour failure and had begun to question my life choices. Breakfast was acceptable. It felt expensive for the quality - but to be honest you'd pay the same pretty much anywhere. I got what I paid for - a basic, clean stay in an affordable, safe hotel near to where I needed to be the next day. I didn't expect a great view from my window - and didn't get one - but I just wish I'd been able to sleep!
