The White Hart

Avoid. I booked for 5 nights in the single room. It had a lovely view of the Minster that's the only plus. The sink in bathroom tiny, can't wash properly, water doesn't drain away, plughole smells. Loud music blaring out till late, noise from road outside. When you go out early in the morning before pub opens can't see down the staircase total darkness trying to find the door out or a light switch. No side entrance so have to constantly walk through a pub full of men to get to room. Only 4 milks, no teaspoon just a wooden stick to stir tea. Kettle doesn't fit under tap. Can't get normal TV channels only Netflix, wifi poor, no hanging space just a coathanger on back of door.

We visited here yesterday and was fine for the first hour. We wanted to share a bottle of wine but were told that wasn't an option! We opted for soft drinks. There were drunken loud males sat in the corner near the bar and they were loud, swearing, looked like they were deciding the music playlist which was awful!! And they were sharing a bottle of sourz! Double standards.. so if we’re in town again, we won’t be going in there

Avoid the White Hart in King's Lynn at all cost. Having booked a room in this hotel 3 weeks in advance, I received confirmation of the booking and on the morning of my visit, received a nice message from them with information regarding car parks in the area. Just before I set off,I received another message telling me they had cancelled my booking! When I eventually got through to them, they said they couldn't see why but had sold the room to another guest who mad a later booking. No alternative accommodation could be offered and I had to find somewhere else to stay. As this was at such short notice, I ended up paying a lot more money and had to order cabs to take us from the hotel to and from town. To add insult to injury, they haven't refunded me despite assurances that they would. The behaviour of the White Hart management is disgusting and strongly advise against booking here.

My mum and I stayed in a twin room in what felt like a newly refurbished hotel room above a pub. It was nicely decorated and the bedding was lovely (I stay away a lot, brought my own pillow and needed have bothered- it was lush!). Great price and well located to try the American diner in town. Great price.

While the owners were very friendly and helpful the experience of staying overnight at the pub was simply awful. We did not know until we contacted the pub the afternoon of our stay that there would be live (very loud) music playing which had we known we would not have booked the room. We knew it would be a stay that was lightly to be very basic, we just didn’t anticipate just how bad an experience it would be. The bed was so uncomfortable, having only one pillow each didn’t help and they weren’t exactly comfortable either. The room was like an ice box, the loo would not flush and then to top it all off there was absolutely no hot water from the tap or shower. It was the worst experience we have ever had.

Have stayed here a couple of times now, location is great for a night out but not overly noisy so can still get a good nights sleep. First stayed when the place was being renovated so had little niggles but the second time around everything was much better. Great bands on every weekend, staff are nice and reasonably priced rooms with their own bathrooms. A couple of extra pillow's on the beds would be a bonus but other than that it's nice enough for a night or 2
