Killarney Royal Hotel

Nuala, Valeria and all the team at Killarney Royal gave us the best welcome ever and made sure we had a most memorable mid term treat, Roxanne at the leisure centre so kindly dried our daughters hair and pleated it to such a wow standard it would not be matched at any hair salon, looking forward to returning to the Killarney Royal again. Had an absolutely lovely two nights stay in the Royal Hotel. Our room on the 1st floor was extremely spacious and comfortable decorated in old fashioned luxury. We had a lovely lunch on arrival in the Bar/Bistro, smashing breakfast on both mornings and the staff were outstanding. I would highly recommend this hotel for a nice break away.

The Killarney Royal Hotel was a very homely, cosy and friendly stay. Staff were exceptional. Bedroom was fabulous and food delicious. But really felt welcomed and cared for by the staff. Warm and caring. Will definitely come back. Central to everything in Killarney.

This is a lovely Hotel with excellent staff so helpful .Excellent food . The rooms are cosy and spotless. We were made so welcome. The location was perfect being in the town and close to the railway station. Breakfast was really good and a very good selection to set you up for the day. We stayed in room 116 and we will be back .

Great location in Killarney. Our stay was in a Royal King Room at a cost of €315 per night which seems to be the flat rate for this entry level room over the Christmas period. We used Blue Book vouchers to cover most of our stay, which took the sting out of what was not a value for money stay. Someone has clearly taken their eye off the ball in the hotel - things like - orange cordial instead of 'Fresh Juice' at breakfast (both mornings), - running out of bacon (2nd morning), - stale scones, - having to ask for the room to be made up, - flashing fire alarm/carbon monoxide alarm positioned directly above the bed, - no proper desk in the room, - nobody asking us how our stay was at check-out. Also the staff need to brush up on their local knowledge. When looking for advice on local walks/hikes I was just given a map, and a booklet on Kerry. The hotel is fine if you are paying €160 a night, but certainly not for €315 a night. Surprised it made the Blue Book listing! On a positive note, our room though located towards the front corner of the building, was very quiet.

We booked the Royal suite room in Killarney Royal Hotel for a night's stay. I must say the staff is very friendly, sweet and hospitable. We were welcomed to the room with loads of tasty treats. The room is huge and upto very high standards. Very cozy. We ordered food to the room, which was very delicious. The breakfast options and spread were amazing! The hotel is in the centre of the town, which is an ideal location. Very close to the Killarney national park where one has a many spots for sight seeing.
