The Gleneagle River Apartments

went to the gleneagle hotel with my boyfriend and friends of the brothers of charity best day ever in my whole life together

We decided to treat our daughter and her two children who were home from Australia to a stay in Killarney. We booked a two bedroom apartment for two nights . The apartment is advertised as a 4 star and it definitely is not. The apartment is old and in need of a total upgrade. The bathroom is antiquated it had an electric shower ( the only hot water we had in the apartment ) a shower curtain that you wouldn't see anywhere. No hot water in any of the taps had to boil a kettle to clean cups etc . A sour smell from the landing outside our apartment that smelled like vomit that you could occasionally smell in the living room area. I got zero satisfaction from the manager who said I should have reported the water situation the previous evening ( we were sight seeing all day and didn't arrive back until around 10 pm ) I didn't want to ring maintenance at that hour We paid 740 euro for the two nights a Sunday and Monday night To say I'm incensed is an under statement

Everything you need is in the apartment, the apartment was very clean and the beds are very comfortable and the apartment is very spacious, there was milk , butter tea bags and treats on our arrival, would highly recommend. A very quiet area to stay.

What an amazing stay. Was here for a 3 day conference and the staff and food are exceptional. From housekeeping, to waiting staff, reception, porters and bar staff....each and every one was polite, smiling, helpful and genuinely appeared to enjoy what they do. An absolute rarity these days. The management should be so delighted with the quality of staff and how they have been trained to treat guests. As a coeliac the options were unreal. I have to say even though it may not be a 5 star hotel, it has 5 star staff and food. I would stay it is the most exceptional in those regards. Well done to you all

Last minute break before everyone gets back to routine. Apartment was lovely, all amenities, spotlessly clean

The apartment was fabulous and had everything. It was so clean and tidy. The beds were so comfortable. The staff were so friendly and the food was absolutely gorgeous. The entertainment was 10/10 with something on the three nights we were there. We didn’t need to move from the hotel. Would highly recommend this stay and we will definitely be back
