Castleview Farm B&B

Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Liz empfangen. Sie stellte uns sogar ihre 3 anwesenden Enkel vor. Sie zeigte uns unsere Zimmer und erklärte uns alles. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Das Bad war mit einer Dusche ausgestattet. Ihre Empfehlung zum Essen im Silken Thomas war sehr gut. Zum Frühstück fragte sie uns, was wir wollen, Porridge oder orginal Irish Breakfast. Müsli, Marmelade und Obst usw. standen ebenfalls bereit. Ihre Empfehlung die nahegelegene Kirchenruine mit Friedhof zu besichtigen war ein guter Tipp. Wir können es sehr empfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Susanne und Alex 11.Sep.2024

Our stay here was lovely, it was great talking to Liz and her home made brown bread was absolutely fantastic. It reminded me of spending time with my grandma when i was younger. The rooms where clean and quiet so we got a good nights sleep. Would definitely visit again.

Just outside of Killdare, beautifully situated farm near a church ruin and open country. There are still some cows and calves on the farm. We had a hearty Irish breakfast. We got recommendations for an excellent restaurant in Killdare (1 michelin star in 2023); when we mentioned we were staying at the B&B we got a nice discount.

Liz was quite welcoming and very pleasant. Our room, the Ainsling, was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We had an ensuite with an electric shower (first experience with that), and the water was very fresh. Our choice for breakfast was the Irish breakfast, and it was quite good. Liz prepared a wonderful meal with thoughtfulness to be sure we were happy and well fed. Back in the room, there is a booklet of many items about the local area history, the consecrated ruins of the Lackagh Church next door, and some wonderful recipes. We paid our respects at the ruins and enjoyed walking around the area. The loving care that Liz puts into her landscaping is the same as with her hospitality. A great B&B.

Castleview Farm is situated in very picturesque surroundings. It was well signposted and easy to find. Liz the owner made us feel more than welcome and couldn't do enough for us. After a lovely Irish breakfast her husband, Ned showed us the latest addition to his herd of cows. It made my daughters stay!

There are no words to describe how wonderful both Liz and Ned are. The day we arrived in Kildare, from the US, we found out my husband’s mother had passed. They took such good care of us and drove us multiple times to make sure we got where we needed to be to get home as quickly as possible. The room and everything was so lovely. Ned even allowed us to help feed the calves. It was a sweet and welcome distraction. We will definitely be returning here as soon as we can.

Great breakfast! Very friendly hostess. If you're tall make sure to ask for the superking bed. Great location. Be sure to ask the hostess for suggestions on where to go.

A very welcoming, comfortable house. There was easy access to the rooms, and ours had a nice spacious bathroom. Ed made great recommendations for dinner spots and Liz served a great breakfast. One tip: if using google maps, maybe reach out for the EiCode.

Very comfortable, spotlessly clean room with all amenities supplied. Elizabeth gave us a warm welcome and gave us lots of tips of where to dine and visit the next day. The breakfast was delicious and lots of options are available. The location was quiet.
