We got the last mint deal and it was a great trip except they were not registered with the local tour department so had a small trouble at the airport which then was resolved by the hotel.

I would never recommend anyone to book this hotel, they are scammers they put the hotel price cheaper and then you will be given with the bill of USD 800 for flight when you arrive and once you pay that only you will be allowed to go into your room.
Also the meals are terrible everyday same meal and there is no other activities to do during stay. This is not a 5 star hotel can be are 3 star or even low.
What is heard was this was used to be a top 20 hotels in Maldives before 2 years now it’s terrible.
If you plan to book think twice.

Im so sorry that finally we reached our dream destination, but we choose the wrong hotel to stay. It is maximum a 3* hotel with very out-dated rooms and facilities, the food was just simply horrible and its a shame that they provide this to high quality guests. On the whole island there were no wine and beer during our 1 week stay, fruit was just uneatable, boring low quality breakfast, untasty dinners, really just simply unaffordable for european standards. 1 week was not enough to prepare the safety box in our roon. Drainage and bad smell in bathroom, mudy aircon, very low-maintained areas. Once it could be a glamurous hotel, but theese days just struggling with demotivated, missinformed staff. However waiters was very friendly, thats to only point I can give connected to the hotel.
Last but not least Maldives itself, the white sand and blue water and spakling under-sea life is breathtaking, therefore it is even a bigger dissapoint to stay in a hotel wich is not harmonised with the surrounding.
Kihaa Maldives ruined my honeymoon. This was our 5th visit to Maldives and this resort changed my perspective about Maldives.
This place has a list of cons which i would not be able to list down here, but here are a few:
1. The buffet spread is beyond horrible. You will get the same set of items like - oats, omlette, salad without any sauces for breakfast. The same tuna and chicken grill for lunch and dinner. Even our honeymoon special dinner hosted by the sea had the same tuna grill and chicken grill just that it was presented marginally better. To be precise each lunch / dinner has the same structure without any difference in taste - sauted veggies, roasted potatoes, some Indian curry which is tasteless, grilled tuna with a basic butter sauce, grilled chicken, a beef / lamb curry which is again very ordinary, steamed rice and some tasteless pasta / noodles. The salad section has the leftover lettuce as the only salad item. No selection of cheese / sauces. The dessert section has 4 items which is repeated almost daily.
2. The resort is literally in ruins, you can see the water villa literally getting submerged in the sea. There are no lights in the passage, water flow in the washroom is low, they dont give you laundry bag / slippers.
3. The waterlife is also average with zero efforts on restoring the corals. Even the snorkeling experience was upsetting.
4. The bar literally has no stock at all. They even tell you to upgrade to All Inclusive at the time of chevkin by paying 120$ per night per person only to get upset later.
The only good thing about the resort is the staff. They gave us a room upgrade out of sympathy. They went out of the way to ensure the stay is manageable despite all the mentioned cons. The 1 star i am providing is only because of the staff who are struggling to get out of the resort. Kihaa is one of the three resorts blacklisted in Maldives.
The 5 night stay here felt like a jail experience where we could not even leave the place since this is super far from Male and boat / sea plane is super expensive. They also make sure you pay the sea plane fee right at the time of check in so that the guests cannot run away.
The staff looks at you empathically seeing that you have lost your money for this disappointing vacation.
Please dont believe their youtube and instagram videos, everything is misleading.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DONT COME HERE. Stay on the mainland. It’s far away and you feel like your in a prison. Under staffed and same food, every single day. Nothing to do on the resort and everything is closed at 8-9pm. This was torture for 9 straight days. Omg, the resort is extremely dirty and never cleaned. The beach is absolutely beautiful and staff are nice but everything else just really bad. They charge you an additional fee upon arrival. Trust me, I never write reviews but needed to warn others.

The best resort i ever have: i traveled 60 countries and this was thouthful at the highest level. Kindness and confort (and luxury with fair prives!) 24 hours. More, all staff were fully professional and make of our stay like a dream. We chose the luxury suit (room) and it was more than amazing: also to notice this resort is more fair in prices compared to other resorts of Maldives! With the top quality both for luxury rooms and beach villas. Beach incredible, only for us :); food all times and so tasty; cleaning was 5 stars also; the luxury room with infinit pool accomodates large Space and incredible; do not miss Kihaa. At least once in your life!!! Many thanks also to special admn. Shahin!

Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel durant 15 longs jours (du 8 février au 22 février 2025) durant lesquels nous avons pu constater que: les bungalows sont dans un état déplorable (nous avons finit par nous plaindre pour avoir enfin droit à un bungalow rénové mais pour seulement 4 jours à la fin de notre séjour), le buffet est à un prix exorbitant (si pas réservé en pension complète) et les plats sont non seulement toujours les mêmes et on a l’impression de manger à la cantine. Le personnel fuit et souffre d’un manque de considération de la part des patrons de ce lieu (certains n’ont pas reçu de salaire depuis plus d’un an et sont prit en otage sur l’île !) Tous les employés font de leur mieux pour rendre agréable le séjour des voyageurs malgré leur détresse mais cela se ressent tout de même… Fuyez cet endroit et laissez le aux rats qui sont en train d’envahir l’île…

DO NOT BOOK – SCAM ALERT I strongly advise against booking at Kihaa Maldives. We were victims of what can only be described as a scam. Despite having followed the hotel’s own cancellation policy, we never received the refund of USD 3,200 that we are fully entitled to. It has been weeks, and we’ve had no proper response or resolution. The hotel staff simply stopped replying, and the so-called “responsible contacts” never acknowledged our emails. This is not an isolated case. After further research, we discovered other guests with similar complaints. The structure is visibly in decline, as confirmed by recent photos and reviews. What they advertise is not what you get. We have filed a formal complaint with the Italian Embassy in Sri Lanka (which oversees Maldivian affairs) and with the Maldives Ministry of Tourism. Authorities have been informed, and other cases against this property are reportedly open. Save yourself the stress, the money, and the disappointment. DO NOT BOOK THIS RESORT.
