This hotel had the potential to be decent - it certainly looks nice from the outside - but there were too many niggly things about it which made the stay not one to remember. The room was fine but there was a noisy air-con unit that wouldn't fall silent even after being turned off. Then there was no shampoo, only shower gel. And even after asking reception for some we were just given more shower gel. The following morning, after we'd been told that breakfast was until 10.30 (I think - it could've been 9.30) anyway with 10mins ago until it ended we received a phonecall in our room brusquely asking if we were coming to breakfast or not! When we went in it turned out we were the only ones left to eat, and were seated right next to all the breakfast buffet, while the two remaining staff stood next to us making toast and chatting - would've been so nice to have had a table elsewhere in the sizeable room. Didn't have a knife & fork either, and it wasn't obvious where the plates were. So a frustrating experience all in all and won't be back in a hurry.

Myself and my partner stayed here for two nights because we were visiting for a wedding, when we arrived in the room it smelled very stale and there was barely any light, our “view” was an external wall of the hotel so barely any natural light came in at all which made it very dingy. The hotel is very run down, not like the website. The image I’ve attached is of the remote, absolutely filled with dirt, absolutely disgusting. With covid still lingering to see this made us very worried and made us therefore worry how poorly the rest of the room might have been cleaned. Lastly, when we returned to the hotel from the wedding around half 10 there was a function going on downstairs and they were blaring music, I assumed it wouldn’t finish at 11pm. When it didn’t my boyfriend rang reception and they told us it would be finished at 12. We couldn’t sleep at all, I think it’s terrible that when booking this hotel you aren’t told when a function is taking place and that you won’t be able to sleep until late. For all these reasons, we won’t be returning.
