We had high hopes for this hotel. We are Marriott Titanium members so very loyal to the brand. Our encounters with most staff were very pleasant. We were happy to have daily housekeeping and water in our room. We had a pleasant lunch at the restaurant while we waited for our room. The hotel itself is old and we were in a king bed on the 2nd floor across from the Roof Top bar. Note there are no elevators. The bar and music stop at 11. The lighting in the room is very poor - part of the vibe is blue lights so our bathroom had one blue overhead light and 2 dim sconces at the vanity. One of the sconces would flicker off and on. I felt like we were in a disco. Very difficult to put on makeup or for shaving - no natural light. Our room had a loud dehumidifier that needed to be run or the humidity would soar to 90 in the room. We could not cool the room down even though it was only 70ish outside. It was pouring rain one morning and I decided to walk to the lobby to get us coffee. So I walked down the steps in the rain and then through 2 different pool gates to get to the lobby. The man at the desk provided me with an umbrella but to get back to the room with the coffee, I need to put everything down, lift the latch on each gate, prop it open, put one cup at a time on the other side and then back to holding the umbrella and 2 cups of coffee up the stairs to the door that open to our hallway and then open the door to our room. Exhausting! We paid a lot for our stay and would never stay here again. There is another Autograph Hotel around the corner. Perhaps that is a nicer property.
