Inn at Creek Street

A great place to stay in downtown Ketchikan. A little piece of early 1900s history with a fantastic New York Cafe situated just next door who could ask for more. The walk up to the top of the hill is great if the weather is kind or you can cheat and take the cable car.

Our entire experience with Inn at Creek Street was incredible. When we were picked up from the shuttle, our driver from the Inn gave us a tour around Ketchikan, which was such a pleasant reception! Our room was comfortable and the views of the creek and marina were breathtaking. We watched seals, salmon, sea gulls, a bear, kayaks, full moon and so much more! A great variety of coffee was available and the beds were amazingly comfortable. After my Mom fell and broke her hand and knee, they allowed us a late check out and arranged transportation from the hotel to the airport. Every single staff person we encountered treated us with warmth and hospitality. I would stay here again without hesitation.

I have stayed at the Inn multiple times and it is terrific each time. Clean, comfortable and conveniently located this locally owned gem is the perfect antidote to the large chain hotels but with the character of an Airbandb. The staff is particularly friendly, helpful and accommodating. I will gladly stay here whenever I have the opportunity to visit Ketchikan.

Not good! Inn at Creek Street operates more than one hotel building, both or all buildings are clustered near one another. My wife and I stayed one night at the end of our SE Alaska cruise. We were accommodated in what they call the New York Hotel. It is a 100-year-old building, with all rooms upstairs. Some people might like staying in a creaky old antique building with extremely steep stairs, dark wall paneling, sloping floors and a bathroom from the past. But we didn't. We never did master the TV controller(s), and it would have been nice if the room had had two comfortable chairs, instead of one uncomfortable wooden antique. The only good thing I can say about the room was that it was very clean. If you are dragging large suitcases as we were, think twice before booking the upstairs New York Hotel. Ask about their other options, maybe their other accommodations are good. Senior citizens

One of the properties of Inn at Creek Street is The New York Hotel. . This is an old property dating back to the ‘20s I believe. Nicely renovated . All rooms on second floor with extremely steep steps. Definitely not for kids or seniors . However the building is very clean my the room newly renovated, fresh carpet, new windows, modern bathroom and tub. Bed ok a bit lumpy. Tv adequate but the WiFi very strong allowing me to access my YouTube Tv account and YouTube so reg tv unnecessary. The Bathroom sink and shower had good pressure and hot water . No complaints. Steps from Creek Street, a bit of a walk to Main Street area. New York Cafe located on Main Street below Hotel is a decent but small place to grab a meal. If you like diner type food a few blocks away is the Pioneer Cafe on mission street. Like all eateries $$$ for food, but they give very decent portions. Their Biscuits and Gravy were amazing and filling . Also attached a photo of the Fish House, not affiliated with the Inn located By the Dock. Excellent food. Was very satisfied with my two night trip.. may not be a woman’s accommodation but very clean. For my fishing trip fit the bill.

I have previously visited in summer when Ketchikan was very busy so it was lovely to come at the end of winter when it was so calm and quiet. I stayed in one of the suits right on the creek which is a very special location. The furnishings were looking a little tired versus when I last stayed there 12 years ago but that didn’t detract from the charm of the place. I saw seals playing in the creek right under my decking most days and even an otter. Great location for doing a few lovely walks and longer hikes. The staff were super lovely and very helpful. I stayed at The Bayside Inn, one of the Inn at Creek Street properties. I visit solo, with family and with friends two to three times every year and LOVE the Bayside. The rooms are so cozy, comfortable, very well appointed, spotless, and have gorgeous views. The hotel is walking distance to everything, including the New York Cafe with its tasty dishes, great coffee, nice wines and beer selections. The best thing about the Inn at Creek Street is the amazing staff: Manager Sarah, Austin, Brittany, Star, Niles and everyone. They are so kind, so informative, fun, and damned good at taking care of this jewel of a property and all of the Inn at Creek St. Properties. This is a superb part of Ketchikan’s lodging possibilities.

Had a great time at the New York Hotel, part of the Inn on Creek Street. Once you checkin across the creek, you are walked over to the old hotel, accessed by a digital keypad. You ascend the very steep stairs to the 2nd floor (there are normal stairs outside, but what’s the fun in that?) to a small landing with tea supplies. Just a handful of rooms, of which, mine faced the harbour. Cozy room with a surprisingly spacious restroom with shower/tub. Plenty of comfy towels and toiletries, with a free Keurig machine for a cup of Joe. The bed was unbelievably comfy, and the radiator kept it delightfully warm. The salmon & eggs at the restaurant downstairs are to die for, and the shuttle to the airport ferry was a very nice gesture. Overall, a great stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

My sister and I stayed here for one night at the end of our cruise. The Inn has several unique buildings. We stayed in room 8 of the New York Hotel building, which is a great old historic building with a restaurant downstairs. Our room had two twin beds, lovely antique furniture, and a little bit of a harbor view. The property is just a short walk from the cruise ship piers. Clean, comfortable beds, coffee/tea in room, a microwave in the hallway landing area. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff - they held our luggage, provided shuttle to the ferry to the airport, were just the nicest people to converse with and get a local insight. Ketchikan and the other cruise port cities are such special places once the large crowds revised their ships - definitely stay or arrive early if possible to get a chance to enjoy these towns! We will definitely stay there again as we are already planning a family vacation!
