Corfu Aquamarine Hotel

The hotel is OK, rooms are nice and clean, however the best view is from rooms which are on higher floors so it might be a little bit tiring to get there, specially for old or people. Food: Dinner is nice, everyone should find something, good greek dishes as well. Breakfast: Every day the same but also everyone should find something, better selection than English breakfast. All-inclusive: this option is very poor, at the bar are only local alcohol drinks and local beer. Snacks? NO. Only chips. The staff is very good trying to help all the time. Best wishes to the barman and waiter at the restaurant. Pool: not very big but OK. The day before last day it turned out that you can find poo in the pool. There are many cats around and you can find such surprises there.... Area: if you have car - that is good place to travel to North and on the West side of the Island. Generally I recommend this hotel as the very good value/money selection, bearing in mind you should not expect west 4* standard.

No near anything but the hotel itself is good

Meer dan matig. Net niet slecht maar scheelt niet veel.Bij de 2 persoonskamer kan de deur nog niet eens helemaal open. Wel zacht bed. Hebben toch omgeboekt naar 2 kamer appartement. Helaas daar de bedden knetterhard. Met de matrassen van de zet-slaap banken was het te doen. Die hebben we boven op het matras gelegd. Ontbijt bedroevend slecht. Koud en half uitgedroogd. 1x Avondbuffet gehad en dat was helemaal vreselijk. Koud, uitgedroogd en zag er totaal niet smakelijk uit. Denk dat de manager het met ons eens was want we hoefden maar 25,00 euro te betalen incl drankjes. Helaas was de wijn ook niet te drinken. Die rook naar benzine. Vakantiediscounter moet maar eens een kijkje gaan nemen hier want het is nog geen 1 ster waard.

We don’t have high standards when it comes to hotels. We primarily come for the area, not the hotel or its facilities. But this hotel really pushed our limits... 1. The breakfast is bad. Mushy and tasteless. After a couple of days, we were eating it reluctantly. Every day it's the same food, and some days it looks like it's the leftovers from the day before... which already looked like the leftover from the day before that. 2. The room is not cleaned properly. We slept on the same sheets for 6 days (no problem in general, but for a '4-star' hotel, it's a bad thing). After day 4, we asked at reception when they would be changed, and they said 'tomorrow'. The day after that, they said it again... Room cleaning removed our hand soap one day, and when we went to reception to ask for a new one, they didn’t understand what 'hand soap' was and offered us 4 shower gels to wash our hands with. After doing that for a couple of days, and not getting a new one with room cleaning, we had to go to the reception again, finally getting a regular bar of hand soap. After 4 days, we finally got new towels, but the old ones were not removed, even the ones already on the floor. Eventually, one towel on the floor started turning a bit brown because of the dirt (and maybe the leaking toilet, because yeah, that was also the case) and they would not take it when cleaning the room. 3. The overall state of the hotel, both inside the room and the entire terrain, is not good. It looks old and used. The inside of the room has mold marks, the 'rain' part of the shower doesn’t seem to work, there were water leaks due to the rainfall, we didn’t have warm water a couple of evenings, etc.... It’s not all bad, though: The location of the hotel is good for sightseeing on the island, with lots of interesting things to do within an acceptable distance. The view from the hotel is great. And, the hotel really has good potential. If it’s cleaner and better maintained, and the overall service is a bit better, it could really be a great location to stay. Summarized: Don’t be fooled by the '4-star' rating. It’s maybe 2 by the looks of it.

We were a bit nervous after reading the reviews on this hotel however we were pleasantly surprised. We went for the all inclusive which was good along with the service. Bar and pool area lovely with stunning views. Rooms are basic and not 4* but we had a comfortable stay, rooms cleaned daily with clean towels. This is a quiet location with a couple of tavernas and a beautiful little beach , this suited us perfectly but if your after a party place this isn’t it. Location is hilly which wasn’t a problem for us , but maybe for those who are less mobile. Bus stop outside hotel to enable you to visit corfu town and other places , cash only and no card, be warned buses are never on time and it’s not unusual to be 30 mins late but generally a good service. Lovely holiday and would return .
