Rockcrest House

For anyone interested in driving the scenic roads of County Kerry or exploring more of this charming corner of Ireland, Rockcrest House is the absolute ideal base. Although located only a few minutes from the centre of Kenmare, you wouldn't know it from its breathtaking and quiet location with ample parking. We were given a beautiful room by the gracious hosts, and my mother was in awe one night thanks to a stunning vista of the full moon out of the window! Breakfast is generous and cooked to order and they managed to cater to our specific requirements with sincerity and warmth. One of the best places of its kind we have ever stayed at.

What a great stay. This place had a great location just a quick walk to downtown Kenmare. The room was large and spotlessly clean. The hosts were attentive and efficient. Also offered some great suggestions for local cuisine. Would definitely stay again.

Charming B&B and wonderful hosts in Marian and David O'Dwyer. Rockcrest House sits just over the bridge at the Tourist office. Less than a 5 minute walk to the town. Plenty of parking at Rockcrest House. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious and Marian and David were right there to provide anything you may need or refills. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. A nice sitting area was also available to guests overlooking a very nice rock garden. We tried to make online reservations for a restaurant in Kenmare but could only be done by phone and after sending a note to David and Marian, they quickly made the reservation and confirmed our reservation. We were there for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great job Marian and David!

There was no availability for Rockcrest House, but they were able to accommodate our group of two couples in the adjacent self-catering Summerville Cottage. We were there for three nights and enjoyed the spacious 4BR/5 bath home, with its large kitchen, living room, and sunroom. It was especially nice to have a dedicated laundry room with a washer AND dryer! We treated ourselves to breakfast at the B&B on our last morning. All of the options were delicious and the coffee was excellent. Marian’s brown soda bread, which welcomed us to the cottage and which we enjoyed with breakfast at Rockcrest, was a special treat.

A really nice 2 night stay in the wonderful Rockcrest House in Kenmare, lovely friendly hosts, rooms were very clean, comfortable and breakfast each morning was delicious. Rockcrest House is ideally located, just a short walk into heart of Kenmare Town. Highly recommend.

Everything about Rockcrest House is first class! We had a very warm greeting from David and Marian. We were treated like family. Our rooms were very spacious and meticulously decorated and clean. I love that the entry rooms are decorated with their family pictures, making us feel so welcome in their home. Excellent location with a very short walk into town. And the grounds are beautiful as well. Breakfast was amazing, with excellent service from Fiona who was so sweet to us. Thank you David, Marion and Fiona! There is a reason why you are #1 in Kenmare. Well deserved.
