My son and I had an amazing long weekend in the fabulous Park Hotel Kenmare. The room we had was charming and perfect for our requirements. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. The check-in was the smoothest I've experienced and all the staff made us feel at home all the time. Thank you for a wonderful break away.

The hotel is in a superb location, 200m from the centre of Kenmare and yet it feels like you are in the middle of the countryside. Our room (as many do) had spectacular views across the estuary and to the mountains beyond. The room was delightful, spacious, well fitted and with a very large comfortable bed. I guess the only small complaint was that the shower a bit small. The staff at the hotel were all really friendly and helpful and we had a couple of lovely meals in the restaurant. A highlight is the spa with a large thermal bath (more like a small pool) where you can sit and relax in the jets and bubbles overlooking the woodland and estuary beside you. The area is covered but with one side completely open so you can really enjoy the views. We even got to appreciate some of the new modern original abstract paintings that the new owner has placed there. They certainly add real style to the restaurant and bar areas. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our thanks to the whole team at the hotel who made us feel very welcome and comfortable.

Stayed in the Hotel in August , old world charm , bit of a hiccup at booking , but reception staff excellent and problem solved , room was very nice , lovely comfortable bed and nice balcony on which we could sit and see the sun go down while the evening bird song amongst the rooks settling down for the night , was quite pleasant.Afternoon tea and cake served to hotel guests and evening piano playing with log fire in lobby only added to the charm , We booked afternoon tea and spa time and really it was most enjoyable , Breakfast was very good and the village of Kenmare is outside your front door , by the way the resident hotel cat will charm the odd titbit from you , grand hotel from the era of Resident Irish RM , with the old RIC barracks beside you , now used by our own boys in blue , Great location and historical Village .

The main floor of the hotel is beautiful. The bar, lounges and restaurant was lovely. We had an "updated" suite on the main floor with an outside balcony. We felt the room was tired looking. We asked if there was something else but it was never followed up. The shower was so very small. You cannot use hair dryers in the bathrooms and it was difficult to find a place to dry my hair. The floors in the hallway appear to have new carpeting but the floors underneath th carpet are very creaky. I heard that the hotel will be closing in January to be redone and that there was new ownership a year ago. I would recommend staying somewhere else. There are so many better options. Met a lovely lady there who has been staying at the hotel for 30 years and she was disappointed with the condition as well.

This is a lovely old world hotel with incredible modern art added to the traditional collection. The beds are comfortable. They are currently renovating as they have a new owner. They have a spa and lovely grounds. The staff is attentive and friendly.

Final stop in our 14 day Irish trip. Delightful views of the park from our room. Creative use of space to enable a cozy reading and TV space. Classic bar with knowledgeable bartenders and a comfy atmosphere. Spa was a great relaxing experience- infinity pool, jets, the whole deal. Bed was so comfortable.

A beautiful historical building set in delightful grounds. Warmly welcoming with a log fire and truly attentive team. Excellent room and cosy beds, wonderful artworks all around the hotel and the restaurant serves outstanding food. A perfect break.

Beautiful hotel and manicured grounds overlooking inlet. I can say enough about the staff at Park, from being greeted upon arrival, check in process to welcome drinks. Everyone was Extremely friendly and attentive, right down to the overnight porter.

My husband and I had the most wonderful two nights at the Park Hotel. The pictures of this beautiful place are accurate and relay the impeccable decor and amazing art but what they can’t convey is the warmth of the welcome upon arrival, the crackling of the fireplace each morning and evening, the delicious taste of the cocktails made by Dylan, the smell of Blue Bottle coffee each morning, the serenity of the gardens and trails and sweet horse grazing. We highly recommend the Park Hotel to anyone who is thinking about a visit to County Kerry!
