We were looking forward to staying at Villa Levens, but when we got there discovered it had ceased trading in early April 2025. Apparently liquidators have been appointed and the business is being wound up and the building sold off. Luckily we were able to book in to Crooklands Hotel nearby.

CARE CARE CARE!!! THIS HOTEL ENTERED INTO LIQUIDATION IN JANUARY 2025... WE HAVE LOST OUR DEPOSIT OF £500... THE LIQUIDATORS ARE ADVISING THAT THERE ARE NO FUNDS FOR REFUNDS.. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BOOK.. THIS HOTEL IS IN THE HANDS OF A LIQUIDATOR...

We got married at the Villa Levens and had THEE best day ever. Everything from surroundings, the staff, the lead up to it (we booked 2 years in advance) to even the weather turned out amazing for us. The running of the day went so smoothly and we have Alison to thank for that, as well as all the other staff involved. If you’re thinking of getting married here do it 😁 and it will be made all the better if you have Alison helping you plan too xxx

We stayed for the three night xmas package and enjoyed every minute. The staff were just so friendly, The room very large and extremely clean. The bathroom also very large and so clean that everything sparkled. All the food was brilliant, and well presented. We could not find a fault with anything. Will be back in the near future.

A luxurious hotel like no other converted from a Victorian lodge complete with ornate wooden panelling. Wonderful large rooms with comfortable beds, terrific customer service and 5 star breakfast and dinner. Set in beautiful surroundings, a stones throw from Kendal and a perfect gateway to the Lakes.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay in this beautiful country mansion hotel and grounds. The room was spacious and clean. Staff were very warm and welcoming. Breakfast was very good. Such an ideal location in the Lake District with lots to see and villages to visit nearby. Very relaxing and peaceful place to say. Can also see why this place would be special enough for a wedding too.

A classic older Mansion house type Hotel with decor and fittings to match, Some minor issues seen which did not detract from our stay. The rooms are large and very clean. We had a meal in the restaurant one evening and both that meal and the breakfasts were excellent. Dogs are allowed in the Conservatory area of the restaurant and the bar area. Hotel is well located for the Lakes and nearby towns. All the staff were excellent and we would definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel, ideally located not far from the m6 , but secluded in the country. Staff were all lovely & helpful. We had a delightful room & enjoyed delicious and well cooked food. Set in beautiful grounds. Ideally located to visit nearby tourist attractions. Would recommend a visit.
