The hotel well located - just few minutes from the park reception, inside the national park. There was everything advertised: good room with balcony and view, bottle water, breakfast, pool, gym... We like our stay here and we are going to visit it once more in future. There was only one drawback on check out - we paid some additional 'fee' per night that was not previously stated nowhere.

乾淨整潔，服務員態度很好，全程很放鬆舒適，環境非常好，整體處在野生動物園內，晚上休息景色很好也十分安靜

Hôtel toujours agréable. Quelque points à améliorer : lavage tardif de la piscine vers 09h00-10h00 ce qui fait que lorsqu'on s'y installe les bains de soleil sont mouillés. La Conservation levy de 19 USD par nuit et par chambre pour résidents internationaux, non incluse dans le tarif de l’hôtel, ça pique un peu, vu les droits d'entrée déjà faramineux à Akagera !! Buffets corrects au petit-déjeuner et diner, mais difficulté à identifier des options vegan, notamment au PDJ et le personnel n'est pas très coopératif sur ce point. Mon mari a été malade comme un chien, donc, même si le standard de l’hôtel est élevé prendre les mêmes précautions que dans un restaurant de brousse : éviter les crudités, les oeufs, la viande peu cuite, etc. La clim dans la chambre est bien fraîche. Jardin magnifique.

Geweldig verblijf, lekker eten, zeer vriendelijke service, het personeel is heel attent, mooi uitzicht, goed gelegen in het Akagera Park, ideaal om safari’s te doen. We kregen zelfs extra attenties op de kamer omdat we er een week verbleven. Dikke aanrader!

Loved this hotel. Brilliant for our family of four. Amazing views over the lake. Safari was great - saw rhinos, lions, elephants, hippos on just two game drives, which was enough with two small kids. Also recommend the village walk and the bee-keeping, which also included making banana beer with a local family. Got the sense not many do it - wasn’t cringey or touristy at all and great for the kids. All guides very flexible if we wanted to shorten with the kids. Hotel service was superb. Staff couldn’t do enough for us, making popcorn for the kids one night - attentive but not over the top. Only constructive points are to have the bar available for food till later to have a different option for dinner than the restaurant which is quite formal for kids.

Great place to stay in Agehera National Park excellent quality rooms with air conditioning so no mosquito nets required hot showers excellent choice of food for all meals outdoor swimming pool and bar with stunning views. Excellent customer services from Giovanni. Thanks

I enjoyed my 2-night stay at Akagera Game Lodge. A refreshing place to rest between game drives. My room was clean and modern. The view overlooking Lake Ihema is breathtaking. Giovanni was a gracious and welcoming presence at the reception desk, and all staff that I encountered were friendly and attentive. Many thanks for a comfortable stay.

This was a neat lodge nicely tucked away in the Akagera national park. The view from the reception overlooking the pool and the lake was beautiful. The staff were friendly and there was valet parking which was a bonus although the parking lot wasn't far off. The food was nice and comparatively better than the mantis at Nyagatare - I think the chef at Nyagatare could use a refresher course from the chef at Akagera. Everything was mostly okay save the AC in my room which had some technical issues during the night. Otherwise, nice stay.

The staff were without exception charming, helpful and well-informed. Giovanni at reception deserves a special mention. For the wheelchair user this hotel is hard to beat. All inside public spaces are on a level and mostly with hard surfaces. The accessible room was genuinely accessible, the wet room perfect except the basin was a little too low to get legs under. Only the pool, which lacked a lift, could be improved upon. Rwanda is a wonderful country for a holiday and this hotel is a lovely base for a few days safari, whether in a wheelchair or not!

Nice location but Checkin service not good Impossible to reach the hotel by phone, email, WhatsApp before the stay to ask questions. Hidden fees not included in the price and never mentioned anywhere (20€) Our reservation was not in the system, we had to argue not to pay twice. Nice hotel, nice view, nice service once your are in.

The lodge really is nice. That said there are some serious issues. We prepaid our stay via Accor. The front desk staff insisted that I pay again for the accommodation because my receipt for full payment was a mistake. They insisted that I pay via a third party link. I refused and opened an investigation with Accor. Accor confirmed that I had prepaid and I am awaiting an explanation from the hotel - they have not replied to me or Accor in 10 days. I believe that the front desk manager, Mary, and possibly others are running a scam. I discussed this with others in Rwanda and, it seems, Mantis is known for ‘billing issues’. Some basic issues are the food - overpriced and poor quality - and the lack of water. You’re not allowed single use plastic bottles in the park and the hotel only provides two 330ml bottles per room per day. Bring 5+ litre bottles to refill. In short, a good place to stay if you bring water but be careful for fraud.
