Kaliakria Resort

This was a girls trip. The apartment was clean and ready to receive guests. Easy to find, we found a parking spot every day. From towels to hair dryer, from cups to oven trays, everything was there. Acces to the pool was free. Everything was great, nothing bad to say. It’s a place that I happily recommend for my friends. We had a great time at this resort.

Our family rented a two-bedroom flat directly from the owner after a mutual friend of my mum connected us. The resort itself was fantastic and the flat was great. However, the owner came half-way through our stay with her boyfriend and stepson and asked if they could crash on the sofa for the night as the resort was fully booked. We reluctantly agreed, but then Dafi or Dafinka, as is her full name and her friends ended up staying for 3 nights. They stayed out on the common balcony smoking and chatting until after midnight, making it impossible to sleep or relax. The AC in the flat didn’t work, so when we closed the doors to keep the smoke out, we all started sweating due to the heat. During the whole time Dafi not only didn’t apologise, but kept making passive aggressive comments about missing items, such as a pillow and the balcony swing cushion. She even asked us to throw out our food from the fridge as she wanted to use it. Dafi has known the manager of the resort for a long time and used to date him, so she is well-known throughout the resort. She receives special discounts at all the restaurants and I pool bars and tried to “make it up to us” by inviting us to dine with her, where she offered us a 20% discount off our bill. However, her behaviour during her stay with us was applying, not to mention that crashing on your guests is completely unacceptable. I regret that I had paid full price for staying for 10 nights, 3 of which were out of a horror film, but Dafi refused to give us any money back. Total disaster!
