スタッフの方全員とても優しく素晴らしい滞在ができました。 ビュッフェの朝食、夕食をいただきましたが、どれも美味しくスリランカ料理を楽しむことができました。 朝食時にマネージャーの方に声をかけていただきホテルのホスピタリティーよ素晴らしさが伝わってきました。 また利用したいと思います。

It’s a good base for visiting Kataragama shrine it’s very close to the sacred are. Friendly helpful staff and wholesome Sri Lanka food. Facilities are good and the restaurant offers good Sri Lankan fare. If one is visiting the shrine and Yala it’s a good value for money hotel but not if one wants to pamper oneself in a resort style setting

We stayed at grand tamarind in august 2024for a night. We got the suite room and a another room for my parents . It was a good hotel and the jacuzzi was in the room was good and needs lot more to improve. 1)the extra bed was provided but it was not a good one. 2)the suite room is nice but too many utilities and furniture 3)food was good and staff was really friendly The reception area and also the front office staff needs a good training on how to welcome guests and not to gossip and be in there own world ,when there is an arrival they should be more quicker

Magnifique hôtel. Très bien le service s’ils pouvaient avoir des options halal pour leurs clients ça serait super. Le cadre est vraiment splendide et le parc national de Yala est à côté. Demandez aux chauffeurs de conduire prudemment sur la route.

The food was disgusting and the beds were not comfortable. Never ever eat from the buffet, what a waste of money. The rooms are very spacious which was the only upside to the hotel. The bathrooms were smelly and the shampoo and body wash given was so not up to standard. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Hotel was very substandard for a 4-5 star hotel. Location was good, right up to the national park but thats where my compliments stop. Rooms spacious but have extremely bad acoustics. Door hinges close to falling apart. Shower is also falling apart while being so built up with limescale that water barely runs through. Not all power outlets work. Wifi setup and internet quality is poor at best. Pool chairs doesnt have cushions or pool towel service similarly not a thing. Bar is none existant. Staff mostly seems to be ignorant to your existance and you occationally feel to be a hassle to them. Food in the restaurant is boring and not very well made in my opinion. Would not return or recommend.

Estuvimos en la room 717, según el plano de avacuación casi todas las habitaciones son enormes. Al punto de parecer que faltan muebles. Teníamos 3 camas en una habitación con terraza y vistas a la piscina. El aseo igualmente enorme con un plato de ducha gigante aunque con la cristalera mal sellada de forma de que se salía parte del agua. Nos encantaron los amenities. Teníamos desayuno y cena, y aunque en la web y después con el hotel todo era estilo buffet, ambos servicios fueron a la carta. La cena mucho mejor que el desayuno. No pudimos aprovechar la piscina porque salimos temprano hacia Galle. Si solamente te alojas 1 noche para tu safari a Yala, es una buena opción por apenas 69€ B&B.

I’m not sure how this hotel has such positive reviews, and all the poor reviews have a response from the Management Team saying “thank you for your 5 star review”?! Something strange going on. We had a family room, lovely and spacious with a lovely view over the pool. On the surface, it all looked great to start with…then I noticed the air con unit leaking creating a puddle on the floor, a further leak in the bathroom, limescaled bathroom facilities, dangerous electrics, mould growing inside the pool walls. The food however was excellent-the Sri Lankan dinner was delicious as was the breakfast. I reported the leaking air con and nothing happened. Reported it again and someone came to mop the puddle and said they would be back to see if it continued to drip. They weren’t back and because I was losing the will to live, we just turned it all off and made do with the fan…which by 3am wasn’t good enough as the room was boiling so I turned the air con back on and moved all the beds to avoid drips and made do with a puddle on the floor!! We only stayed one night thank goodness. We won’t be back. I’m sure I will now be thanked for my wonderful review!!

During our two-week trip to Sri Lanka, we stayed in nine different 4 and 5-star hotels, and this was by far the worst experience. The room was spacious, but the WiFi was either slow or non-responsive, and the air conditioning was either on maximum power or completely off. Our travel agent booked us a half-board package, and the hotel served breakfast and dinner from a set menu. The breakfast sausages and bacon were freezing cold and inedible, and the overall service in the restaurant was poor. For dinner, my kids ordered vegetable lasagna, which was watery, cold, and tasteless. I ordered vegetable rice and chicken. The rice was fine, but I received six tiny pieces of chicken on the bone, which were cold, hard, and chewy. When I brought this to the waiter’s attention, he simply said, “Okay, sir,” without offering any remedy. The Coca-Cola bottle was warm, and they did not serve alcoholic drinks. I reported these issues to the receptionist, but he pretended not to understand me. The only positive aspect was that we were only staying for one night. We will definitely not be returning!
