SeVi Boutique Hotel

Paradise place on earth! We had the best stay ever! And we have been to a number of other resorts during a few longer periods of both work & holiday in Zanzibar. SeVi is definetly the Number One place we have visited. (Also of other places in world!) The atmosphere, the bungalows - and the surroundings both by the pool and restaurant. Stunning!! So nice, clean and quiet. And - the wonderfull people in the staff! The hospitality and service is excellent. The beach is cleaned for seeweed in the mornings just for us to enjoy. Everything is perfect! They even helped my now fiancée to prepare for a wedding proposal during one of the evening dinners. So this will be «our place» for now. And we will definitely come back! We booked 5 days in the SeViBoutique to relax after Safari. Usually we would not spend our holidays on Zanzibar. SeVi Boutique: excellent!!! Very polite, friendly, respectful personal. Mindfulness is the keyword. Our seaview bungalow was a great place to rest. The complete SeViground is tropical, beautiful, well gardened. The food is fantastic. An example: you get your your Cappucino from a good Italian Machine, you can choose between cowmilk or Soyamilk.That gives an impression of the place… Prices like normal European prices. We have been on the Malediven numerous times. It remembered us of good Malediven Ressorts. Of course you are in Africa… The bungalow has a good aircondition, there is a really big Moskitonetz over the bed. Not so close and small that the air feels compressed. There is also an ventilator inside the moscitonet we didn’t use. You can not swim in the ocean! The water on this side of the island is to shallow. Swim in the pool. We rented our own car at the airport and made two trips to Kendwa for swimming and enjoying the turquoise ocean but always left after two hours. There are many people, music, party etc. We spent very relaxing days at SeVi, meditating, reading, making Yoga at our bungalow. When you enter the beach, at SeVi and other places you will get immediately contacted by locals who want to sell you something. That may be annoying. It is the Indian Ocean but not the Maledives. If Zanzibar, this would be our place again!

This is our second trip to Zanzibar in the past two years. There was no question about where we would stay, as the Sevi is just perfect is every aspect. The location and chill atmosphere of the entire hotel sets you up for complete relaxation, from the moment you pass through the hotel reception. The entire hotel is set in an amazing palm tree forest directly on the ocean front, proving access to an immaculate powdery white sand beach. We had an ocean front villa which blew us a way, with an amazing combination of indoor and outdoor space, with ocean views and a private pool. We opted for the half board food tarrif and this did not disappoint. A very substantial good quality breakfast, with everything you could wish for. The same with our evening meals, with at least two choices of starter, mains and dessert. On two of the nights there is a Swahili tradition buffet and poolside BBQ. Each of these evenings were fantastic. There is also a great selection of wines available. Finally, the highlight of the hotel is the staff. Each and every single person we met at the Sevi just couldn't do enough for us. They are friendly, welcoming and genuinely want you to have the best time at the Sevi. I feel like we will be back there again to make it a hat-trick of 3 stays.

HI Traveller's. Photo are not realistic. The site is quite leave abandoned in many ways. The staff is doing its best though to give a good experience but super tough knowing the state of the pool, the rooms etc. Its ashamed because the spot is quite good and the beach front relatively calm compare to the south of the island. The owner should put money at least to clean, upgrade and put something good to protect the open space in the upstairs space. There is not even window there, just a so call net. In fact mosquito and insect can come anywhere. Last but not least the fooding. Its a disgrace. Really. We paid USD 80 !!!! for a Christmas eve diner. THIS is a total joke believe me. I write a joke not to say something else. Seriously. Its embarrassing. And for the breakfast. A joke. The only hotel where ther serve scramble, but when asking just a bit of cheese, you have to pay an extra, same for sausages of course. Conclusion we walk every night 300m south the coast to find a very nice hotel / restaurant. I do not mentioned the name here, but easy to find. 100% better and same price. Again this has nothing to do with the staff. But seriously, you have to stop renting this place and first make it proper.

Mein Aufenthalt im Sevi war einfach nur toll! So nette Bungalows im echten afrikanischen Stil mit tollem Ausblick auf Palmen, Pflanzen, Pool und Meer. Es gibt zwei Pools mit Liegen und auch noch ein Pool im Spa-Bereich, wo die Massagen sehr empfehlenswert sind!! Besonders lecker ist das Frühstück. Egal was man bestellt, man bekommt immer einen Teller mit verschiedensten Früchten wie Mango, Maracuja …. Auch das Abendessen ist sehr gut und ausgiebig! Hervorzuheben sind vor allem die Angestellten. Angefangen von den höflichen Gärtnern die dir eine Kokosnuss von der Palme holen, bis hin zu den Kellnern. Ich habe noch nie so herzliche und freundliche Kellner erlebt wie hier im Sevi Hotel. Sie sind wirklich ein unglaubliches Team, dass jeden Tag bemüht war, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Ich habe sie sofort ins Herz geschlossen! Dieser Urlaub war kurz gesagt einfach ein Urlaub im Paradies!
