"The lodge is a good location with spacious rooms. We stayed triple occupancy for 2 nights. However the food choice especially dinner and lunch box were not tasty and we barely ate. No wifi in the rooms. Issues with hot water pressure and drainage of water in the shower. Staff is pleasant."

"With our Safari tour we arrived around 4 pm. The staff is very friendly and the food is nice. Unfortunately the room smelled, was not clean and at night there was a lot of noice. The rooms aren’t isolated properly so you could hear the people from the kitchen above us (We slept on the 3rd floor and the restaurant is at the 4th floor). We wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all."

"My husband and I stayed at Neptune Lodge from Feb 6-Feb 8, 2026. We were both so impressed with the beautiful grounds, the impressive suite with a large patio that had a fantastic view overlooking a conservancy. The food was excellent and the staff were very polite and responsive to all our needs. We have to give a special mention and thanks to Norbert our room steward who gave us outstanding service. He was so kind and attentive to our requests. We would say to Neptune Lodge’s management that with Norbert you have a very special staff member. Our trip was way too short and we plan to return in the future."

"Stayed here for 1 night. Had two connecting rooms. There was construction going on and construction staff was working right outside the balcony and we didn't feel the privacy. This was our 3rd accommodation on our safari and were sort of disappointed with the hospitality, food. Rooms are clean, big. Shower is excellent, doesn't have exhaust so can get very foggy due to steam. There is no Wifi in room and cellular service is spotty. If you need any help from hotel staff /reception there is no telephone in the room or numbers provided in case of emergency. Only way is to run to the reception, which can be up the hill depending on where room is located. Food was average, we ate mostly the buffet ( had good vegetarian options) Service was bit slow. Its about 1-1.5 hour from the Ngorongoro crater. Road to the lodge is dusty and bumpy. If you are planning to travel with people having mobility issues, plan ahead. The restaurant, pool and reception are up on the up hill. We didn't see any golf carts to help with transportation. Views are great, was able to enjoy the sunset. Pool is outdoors we didn't use it. Hotel was very busy due to high tourist season."
