Restaurant & Inn Atsushi -Kanazawa-

We only booked this restaurant last minute but it was absolutely worth it. They check the reservations in the morning so they can get the right amount of fresh ingredients. Since we just booked only a few hours in advance, they couldn't promise us everything of the menu but we got everything we asked for anyway. The restaurant itself is very cosy and the service was perfect and exceptionally friendly. The food was fresh, tasteful and to be honest, one of the best sushi we ever had. Especially knowing there are only two people working the place, this definitely deserves a visit in Kanazawa.

A charming place not too far from the Kenroukuen garden. Nice atmosphere. We arrived really early and received a very warm welcome from the staff. Everything was delish- the avocado salad, the cold tofu, the sashimi, nigiri sushi, grilled prawns…. Had a really enjoyable meal!! Highly recommended ….

Beautiful well designed comfy room with separate entrance. Restayrant was excellent.

Dagverse vis en vriendelijke bediening. Goede straffe cocktails! Met een team van 2 man toveren ze eerlijke keuken op tafel . Normaal wel enkel met reservatie. Mijn kompanen en ik kwamen rond 19u aan en het was vrijwel volledig volboekt. Geen restaurant voor de snelle hap maar wel een avond voor genieten Zeker aanrader !

Nous n’avions pas prévu de dîner dans ce restaurant mais nous nous sommes retrouvés dans ce quartier après avoir assisté aux illluminations du château de Kanazawa. Une petite recherche nous a indiqué ce restaurant de sushi bien noté. Ils ne reçoivent normalement que sur réservation alors surtout pensez à appeler ! Si vous aimez les sushis, vous allez vous régaler ! Nous avons choisi des sushis au thon, aux saint-Jacques, un rouleau Green Tiger (thon épicé / crevette / avocat / concombre) et un formidable tempura sushi. Comptez entre 1500 et 2000 yens par rouleau (6/8 pièces). Un régal de bout en bout, sans compter les saké sélectionnés pour lesquels vous pouvez demander conseil si vous êtes néophytes. Bonne glace au matcha. Accueil souriant et très professionnel. Menu et accueil parfaitement anglophone. Une pépite qui mérite la note maximale.

This review is more of a personal note to Atsushi and Fedora, a huge Mahalo from the 4 of us from Hawaii who had the great pleasure of you as host and chef on the 18th of September. Who knew that we would be graced with such a wonderful expression of sushi that none of us experienced either in Japan or Hawaii, what a treat. Not only did we have great sushi we had Fedora as host & chef. She made us feel as welcome as if we were regulars. Since coming back to Hawaii, my wife and I have been trying to work out a return trip, just so we could stay at your inn, that way we could have the pleasure of your company and food for more than an evening.
