Poor laundry My only issue was with the laundry service when I was promised the return of the clothes that evening when the clothes were dropped off at 6;15am. Clothes were not returned that evening and not until the following morning which caused me to miss a meeting, Still was forced to pay for clothes

A great relaxing hotel. My wife and I enjoyed our stay so much. The restaurants are great and the pool is just the right size. Will be back.

What a beautiful quaint hotel! I love the grounds. My favorite restaurant is the Japanese cuisine Hanobi. The food presentation on all dishes regardless to which restaurant you visit is exquisite. The staff is very accommodating. Gym is beautiful and my room lovely! Only suggestion is 1. Increase the entertainment on TV as ther is only 1 movie channel 2. The air condition was not consistent in that the room could get a little warm. 3. I never had warm or hot water my entire stay.

Lovely but upsetting! We were very pleased with the lovely food at the hotel, and the cleaners did a great job:) The room was of a good standard, yet there were only five TV channels; none of which my daughter could enjoy. Disappointingly and upsettingly, we were overcharged for taxi fares by the hotel staff, having spoken to people who live in Uganda. A journey that should have cost 15 - 20 000 Ugandan Shillings was upped to 70 000! As we were unaware of the "proper" price, we naively paid. Previously, I was charged 80 US Dollars to pick up a left suitcase from Entebbe Airport, which is around 50 minutes away from the hotel. It is obviously too much to pay, yet the staff member at the hotel insisted on that figure. Please make sure this does not happen to other unwitting guests.

Best boutique option in Kampala

I stayed here with my husband for two nights on the recommendation of a friend and we found it a very charming oasis in the middle of bustling Kabalagala. The location is also convenient. We had a business room on the second floor - it was super spacious, with a desk, a big bed, a super comfy lounge chair, teamaker, coffeemaker, closet. I found the light in the room a bit bright and the pillows too big and didn’t manage to adjust the a/c to less cold but other than that the room was very comfortable. There was also a lovely terrace with a view over the roofs of the area. The bathroom was nice, except there was no hot water on our second morning - apparently that’s due to the fact that they are solar powered. We asked for a blow dryer at the reception which was no problem. The have the very nice Kenyan Cinnebar cosmetics (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash) except no body lotion. The backside of the hotel can be noisy with cars honking, goats, chickens etc. - the cottages are probably quieter but also buggier. Anyway, it didn’t bother us too much. We loved the spa - the location is great up on top of a cottage - Barbara, Sarah and Isaac spoiled us and it was so relaxing. I would highly recommend a spa treatment! The pool looks lovely but we didn’t use it. They also have a super nice gym. The front staff were kind and efficient. The breakfast was nice but the staff there were rather slow. Took a long time for a coffee order to arrive and utensils were sometimes missing (for fruit, porridge or spoons on the table). But they have a nice buffet with lots of options and the porridge and dawa are the best. The compound is super convenient as well with three restaurants and a gourmet supermarket as well as a hairdresser and a gift shop. We would come back!
