Hotel is good but I had to give single star rating due to dealing of hotel manager Mr Puran Gurung. I had booked the hotel through advance payment to him. Also, I paid him advance for booking of vehicle for my entire itinerary of Kaluk and Pelling. He had arranged a vehicle of owner/driver Mr Tsewang Bhutia. These two fellows have spoilt my entire second half of the trip. This Mr Bhutia picked me up from NJP and conducted the site seeing of Kaluk. But, soon after he showed his actual devil face by just dumping me at Pelling without any vehicle. Entire planning and agreement was for a luxury vehicle for 06 persons as I had my old aged mother and mother-in-law with me. These fellows gave a damn to honour the agreement (most likely to deal with another party, Mr Tsewang kept on calling other people for better deal while driving) and left me and my family at Pelling without a vehicle for site seeing or drop to NJP station. The situation was extremely pathetic as tremendous tourist rush was prevailing; no rooms, no vehicle. I had to roam around upper Pelling to lower Pelling for a suitable vehicle. Each day I wasted my 3-4 hours to arrange a vehicle, my tour was without any peace. When I called them they started abusing me. I had to pay huge money to local travel agent (eg. for NJP drop I paid Rs 9000 whereas normal rate is 5000). Only minutes before starting for NJP (where I have to catch a train) I could manage to get the vehicle. One can imagine the plight of us. I will not forgive these fellows who ruined my entire holidays. These people are dishonest, unprofessional and doing unethical business only. This is the worst travel experience in my life. I will recommend not to visit these places, better to visit other hill stations where people add value to their words and do not humiliate visitors.
