We spent 4 weeks in June at this very well run hotel - our longest stay anywhere. It was the first holiday-based hotel that my wife and I would consider returning to, which is saying something as we are not easily impressed. Here are the main points to help anyone undecided whether or not to give the Ammades a try: 1) Our welcome was exceptionally friendly. The reception area decor is highly impressive and is beautifully maintained, offering much needed respite from the heat. Throughout our stay, the receptionists were always helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. 2) Suites (ours was beach facing on 6th floor which gives a great view of pool and beach/sea) are just large enough to give you a comfortable seating area - complete with 65 inch TV - without wasting space. Balcony space is good. Shower is powerful, spacious and conducive to never getting out! Suites are cleaned to a good standard and you get new bottled water daily. Also seed biscuits which we didn't eat and so were left with 56 by the time we packed to leave! 3) Breakfast choices in the restaurant are buffet style but you can also get anything from the a la carte menu at no extra cost. Maria looked after us for all of our 4 weeks, having only 2 days off in that time, and she really is an asset to the hotel. When my wife was ill she spoke with reception to make sure we were fed and had access to a doctor should we have needed one. For someone who works so hard, she certainly never loses her smile. Maria is the epitome of 'above and beyond'. Evening meals in the restaurant were some of the best we had although choice is quite limited so we mainly ate out; not unexpected given we stayed for so long. 4) The beach is quite busy with umbrellas/sun-beds being just far enough apart to offer a good space to spread out in. The sea has a few rocky parts in it - all which seemed safe to tread on in bare feet - but if you move along a few yards or so, it is easy to find space where there is only sand beneath your feet. The beach area isn't run by the same management (but has same owners) as the hotel, but the guy who takes care of everything, Christos, couldn't be more helpful. Like Maria, he's a great asset to the place. 5) The swimming pool area is like something out of a magazine! The sun-beds are to die for! This seems to bring out the posing Instagram types, which, depending on your outlook, is either rather amusing or maybe just right up your street. There is an element of sun-bed/cabana reserving with towels/books/bags etc. that occurred during our stay despite there being a sign - not so well positioned as not easily seen - but as we are early risers this never affected us. 6)Julia (Manager) is always available for any problems you have and she was amazingly helpful for the few times we needed assistance. She runs a highly smooth operation that she can be exceptionally proud of. I hope they pay her well because they don't want to lose her! 7) As others have noted, there can be some music
